A Budgie mate of mine reckons that Simeon Jackson is on the verge of joining us on a free transfer! Have any of you heard anything on the grapevine? To be honest he is a bit of a bullsh*tter so I thought to seek some clarification!

I'd have thought he could rightfully set his sights a shade higher than that <whistle>

Well it would increase our 'get a penalty' average, he has watched the master at work in training!

Please don't let this thread go down the usual slanging match route!

This is a serious question as I have heard this rumour about Jackson doing the rounds now for some time and I would be genuinely interested to know if any of the Norwich boys have heard anything similar.

seriously, I don't rate him that highly, I'm not saying he isn't a good player but it is yet to be proven that he can be the spearhead of a team. As far as i'm aware he has always been an in & out player.

I did hear something similar mentioned - but with the rumour mill in full chaotic mode, most of it goes in one ear and out of the other.
I guess if he's settled in East Anglia it would be a non-disruptive option.
At least he'd get some meaningful game time with you guys.

And after the injury time winner v Derby and the promotion clinching diving header at Portsmouth, I can't see too many Budgies giving him stick if it did happen.
    Unlike Andy Marshall.

    Cheers for that Cromer.

To be honest I would like to see him in a Town shirt and he would be a lot cheaper and more hungrier to succeed than DJ Campbell. According to my Budgie mate this deal is all but done so I guess we will have to wait and see!

i think he'd be good for you. seems a confidence player, so would need a run in the team. was always in and out of our team.

Heard a little rumblings about this about 2 weeks ago i reckon now, died down pretty quick though. He'd be one hell of a free signing for any championship team

Wouldn't it be superbly poetic if he scored the crucial goals that got us promoted as he did for you! <laugh>

I don't think he'd have to pay for a drink in East Anglia ever again!
