    10000000% This! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I've been saying much the same thing Cest. Great with the ball at his feet, but absolutely no vision or awareness of team mates around him. Add to that his often wayward shooting and unwillingness to pass the bloody ball.......

Well we are all entitled to our opinions I say keep him at all costs he is the only one with on ounce of skill we have missed him big style in the games he has been out.i understand that if he goes and we replace with a quality striker and we can get some service to that striker it may soften the blow we will have to wait and see what happens

The problem is lads that Sess stands out in our team because we don't have much real quality in the squad to start with. He has a few tricks and can score some great goals but he isn't consistent (never has been for me) and is never going to be a regular double digit goal scorer. He isnt a great winger and his final ball doesnt make him a good enough creator/playmaker either.

He has talent, of course he has talent but its a packaged up in a mish mash of a player that has no real set position that he revels in enough to justify his place. We struggle to accommodate him as he is a talented player but then the compromise (and not enough other quality) means we have struggled with him in the team anyway. Its not like having him has pushed us on at all. We have skirted with relegation in each of the last 3 seasons with him as the centre point of our attacking play.

All I am, suggesting is we look to bring in specialist wide, playmaking and goal getting options and have a much more balanced team. Sess would be nothing more than an impact sub in my team, brought on when we need a last 30 mins change of fortune and direction.

I do agree with this in principle. I love Sess but he hasn't been able to really make a position his and settle there, making an impact every game.

However, I still think we should keep him - as PDC improves the quality around him, I think we're more likely to see the best of Sess on a regular basis.

If we were to sell, and get in more 'fixed-position' quality players (specialist wingers, etc) then I think we'd be hard-pressed to get anything decent in for £8m. :(

yes impact sub would be fine if money permitting we could buy quality to keep him out the team.after all we do need options other than sess.

Why not though Stu? There are good players out there for less than £8m? Ba cost nothing for the Mags? I'd give Chelsea £8m for him now and sell Sess in a heartbeat to buy him. Ba would get you 20 goals alongside Fletcher. Sess will struggle to get 7 or 8.

True stuff Cest, there are definitely players out there... Did you see the stories this morning about Chelsea potentially selling Ba? I doubt he'd come here, but an interesting buy for anyone in the league.

I suppose my caution stems from the fact that although there are good quality, reasonably priced players out there, we've always been ****e at getting them, ha.

My bet would be a move to West Ham. He'd be a far cheaper option than Carroll and will score more goals.

Sess will need to stay for me. Our best player by a mile. Would be dismayed if we sell him

Reluctant to let him go me. I want to see a great player excelling in a great team (might never happen even if he stays) not a great player in a **** team that breeds inconsistency through the entire squad year on year. We can't put 3 passes together. Who knows how good our better players are until this is sorted.

You want to build around your quality players. Mig, Sess, AJ and Fletch are the players you want to keep. Raise funds by selling the crud. You'd get a couple of million for Clatts. He is easily replaceable. Add meat to those bones, keep players like Colback and Whickam and you will eventually get a very good side. Patience is a virtue however in your case it is a must. Wholesale changes are not what you need (as has been proven)

To progress you need to keep your best players, Sess IMO is our best outfield player.

He will not be easily replaceable no matter what people are saying.

What a pitiful post. I wouldn't take the lad on a free. Nobody wants a player who turns up for one game a season, as suggested by your own fans.

Agree, and although Sess frustrates the hell out of me I'd like to see him in abetter team so at least one more season for me.
