After a hell of a Saturday I'm on three tomorrow.

    3.10 Auteuil

    Solwhit 5/2

One of three truly outstanding longer distance hurdlers in Europe. Not many horses can sit comfortably in the company of Quevega and Big Bucks but he can and I'd be confident he'll win tomorrow. Thousand Stars is a returning two time Champ and he'll be on the premises but I just don't think he's as classy as Solwhit.

    3.50 Curragh

    Trading Leather 9/4

All his form screams that he's better than this lot. Shown he's trained on but has come up against a dominant Irish Classic winner and a solid Derby second on his last two runs. Trip is fine. Ground is okay.

    4.30 Perth

    Mumbles Head 6/1

Right weight. Right track. Right race. Come on Mumbles.

Its all about Zand today, Trading Leather sets the form standard but he had two hard races in the space of 9 days and has been up, down and now back up in trip. The Irish Guineas was hardly a strong renewal and he was used like a pacemaker, everyone wanted to slate the Dante form at the time but being such a weak year, Libertarian was entitled to place in the Derby on that run so I dont rate the form any higher than I did at the time. Hes a solid enough horse but you seen what Magician done to him and hes going to struggle against anything good. Oxx's are just starting to come right now and I get the feeling they rate this one a bit, he has had problems and is unproven on fast ground but Oxx has given him plenty of time and if he is a genuine classic horse he should take care of Trading Leather even at 85/90%, the 3 pounds should aid his cause. Ive had a little e/w at 14s for the Irish Derby just incase.

Mumbles has run well on GF a few times in the past. The ground isn't going to be the reason if he loses.

Struggling to understand quite how Solwhit is 5/2 today....he has already outclassed the best of these twice this season. 5/2 is an absolute steal. Should be 5/4

I personally think he's better with a bit of give. Good luck though

You could be right Simmo but he'll handle the ground okay.

    Sunday Brunch right now.

He opened at 3/1 as well. Couple of reasons why I think. Different hurdles to UK and Ireland and that nosebleed LTO. He's definitely the best horse in the race but he needs to put it all in.

All about artificial horse power today, firstly the BTCC returns on ITV4, and that is quality wheel to wheel action, followed by the Canadian Grand Prix, which I have to watch to try and spot my wife (probably be stalking Alonso or James Mcevoy) hopefully Williams have a good race. I am guessing that the whole team will be trying to do a rain dance when they get to the track.
