This is becoming far too public. We remain a club divided.

I wonder... does Harry's 'carrying the can' include covering all the club's financial losses they incur from his free hand innthentransfer market if we don't gain promotion? Words are cheap - he will eventually move on to another job leaving the club with his legacy of profligate spending. Free transfers are not free - wages are inflated, especially when the players are experienced pros.

This is getting quite interesting. Beard made clear and public a few weeks ago that our approach to wages was now a relatively low salary plus appearance and achievement bonuses. I reckon he probably told Harold this as well, but he obviously reckoned he could ignore this and coax his old (in every sense) mates to the club on free transfers but generous wages. Thank God the club is holding firm, and we are not the soft touch we have been on packages for the last couple of years.

Anyway, what's the point of stuffing the squad with old geezers no longer up to Prem standards, getting promoted and then getting back on the 'replace the squad in a panic' merry-go-round? Much better build something durable over 2-3 seasons, but Harold hasn't got the time, patience or skills for that.

Acting and talking like a prima donna. His skills were not that obvious the last couple of month. So why should anyone give him blind confidence? "Free tranfers" and "taking full responsibility" are bla bla bla ... His pessimism and his shortsighted behaviour and his attitude that he and his mates alone are the only experts on earth are not good. Wouldlike to have more shared passion at QPR included the manager and probably a manager who is not as old fashioned and uppity as he is. Ralf Rangnick would be a good choice from my perspective. There are so many good German players around who are not in the focus of our scout team. Why only French based average players?

The answer is to get a balance between the enthusiastic older players and good young players of great potential. Warnock brought in two oldies - Shaun Derry and Clint Hill. They've been worth their weight in gold. If Harry can sniff out more Ryan Nelsen's for us - and I do think he has the knowledge and the judgement to do this - then the question is, what about the youngsters to achieve that balance? That's surely what the owners should be asking.

Responsibility in football mean absolutely nothing.
What responsibility does Mark Hughes et al have when they leave their respective clubs?
What responsibility do players who get their clubs relegated have?
Absolutely none. If you feel so responsible, reduce your wages to your new level and work to get the Club back up where you can increase your salary again. Won't happen.
Absolute bunkem. Not worth the breath, or chip-paper!!

Exactly this! He'll carry the can, my a*se.

How much of the can did he carry when he got Southampton relegated and then left them in the lurch for Portsmouth?
    Utter cobblers.

I would like to know what the club's aims are at the moment - are the powers that be really determined to get as back to the PL at the first attempt, or content for us to spend a couple - or more - seasons in the Championship? If it's the latter I would like them to be clear about it then we'll know where we stand in regards to transfers wages etc.

To be honest, I don't think the club sees it as a priority to keep us in the know. We'll hear about things when they've happened and have been put on the official site.

TF has already said it may take 2 or 3 years. Hes not going to sign a bunch of old players who will then have to be replaced if we got promoted or not. Better to build a team slower and keep them together if/when we go up.

This. Also people seem to forget the younger players let us down last year as well (hello Hoillett, Granero, Adel, Diakite), youth is not the be all and end all.

Largely true although I'd say someone like Phil Neville bucks that trend i.e. everyone thought he was ****e when he was younger but he ended up quite a respected veteran. Personally I'm not that fussed about players age (young or old) just as long as we get guys in who genuinely want to play and do well for the club.
