http://www.mrflag.com/p/4651/India_Budget_.html In the past I've got cheap flags from a nice elderly woman called Patricia based at her gaff near Brentford FC: Patricia's Ltd,21 Avenue Rd,London TW8 Telephone: 020 8568 9697 I'll be at Bodmin,Plymouth & Tavistock with some sort of mixed bag combo of flaggery.Don't care if no-one else is bothered..this is the way I'm going.
How about on the day of the protest, everyone rings a different Indian takeaway and orders a curry to be delivered to Rangers main entrance?!
i'm new at this posting business, just warming up - haven't even started a new thread, yet - so maybe this is a silly question: why has a thread like this received 190 views but only 15 votes? is there some other grand strategy out there? are we faced with mass apathy? or is this green/white scarf / indian flag idea not quite as brilliant as we'd all first thought? (which would mean mass-delusion. and, frankly, i'm not buying that..)
Welcome, R Abroad The majority of people who look at posts wont bother to give an opinion, having said that you are correct the response is lower than expected
great idea. particular try and target the fans that sit in the Lower Loft and near directors box as they will get the most attention. otherwise, a way of distributing them at away matches, such as seeing if those in charge of AKUTRS might help needs to be llooked at
By the time the new season comes around this will have to be settled one way or the other. Either the Mittal's will increase their bid to a level acceptable by Ecclestone or they will sell their own shares. Either way the flags will not be necessary. The bust up has been too personal and serious for any other outcome.
Heard from QPR1st that Mittal has made a second offer - refused by Ecclestone. If Mittal's out of the picture by start of season, will you be happy to support Ecclestone's 'vision' for the future? Low investment, little if any development, high prices, club running with major debts. £10m debts took us into administration the last time and nearly killed us. From what I gather, they are currently around £35-£40m. The information relating to the conflicting visions has come via direct communications and the known performances from both camps. We have not responded to newspaper speculation on this. Mittal may not be as pure as the driven snow but his interest in club development to attract wider markets is all we have. Finally, Mittal's minority shareholding would only attract a purchaser who supports Ecclestone's Quick Profit and Run vision. It's got to be in our interest to be proactive pawns in the game by showing our support for Mittal's vision. All the major QPR supporters groups (OSC, LSA, QPR1st) are all taking actions to this end. We're simply adding weight to this by suggesting an affordable and easily achievable hi-viz campaign at matches. Nothing more.
"If Mittal's out of the picture by start of season, will you be happy to support Ecclestone's 'vision' for the future?" Simple, no chance
Bernie is only in it for the money, he doesn't give a toss about the club or it's supporters. He won't get a buyer if the club are in danger of relegation which makes it seem likely a deal will be cut sooner rather than later. Hence, my view that Bernie will be gone by Christmas. In the meantime any big names arriving will be on loan rather than bought....
