So the first name on the Opposition XI teamsheet is Simon Mignolet with a convincing 8-vote win. Up next - Right-backs! Same deal as last time, nice and simple, nominate the right-back (Just one please, a few people split nominations last time haha) who put in the best performance(s) against Saints this season in the league... Begin!
I had a bit of an inner debate with myself about this one, I think my personal nomination would be Sascha Riether, I believe all three of Fulham's goals against us came from his crosses, and he was pretty stout defensively. I thought about Coleman too though, he was fantastic when we played at Goodison.
To be honest Zabaleta wasn't that impressive against us so that rules him out for me. Hmm, tricky one this. I'll go for Debuchy. He was really impressive at St James' Park against us.
Funny, both had good seasons, Zabaleta in particular, but I don't remember either standing out against us, what got them you guys' nominations?
Tough one this. There's no doubt Zabaleta is probably the best right back in the Premier League but as others have said, he wasn't that impressive against us. After much deliberation, i'm going to plump for Phil Bardsley purely of the basis of the goal he scored against us at The Stadium of Light.
Agree. Zabaleta made one good run for their goal and the rest he spend blowing out his arse. Coleman of Everton for me, based on games against us.
I think a few people may be basing their nominations simply on who they think was the best player over the season, rather than who performed the best against us. Coleman and Riether are good shouts.
Think I will go for Coleman too. Not many right backs played both games against us. I can't really remember many having stand out games against us either. So it's a tough decision. Coleman was very good at Goodison Park.
Joe I'm going to whip down your trousers, bend you over my knee and spank you if you don't give me just one nomination!
