    Not sure if this has been posted but just seen on Twitter that we're linked with Chris McCann just released from Burnley?

    This could either be a load of bollocks due to the fact we're after Austin or a genuine link either way i can't see it happening

    Yeah he's alright, good, hard worker who can spread a ball around and can put his foot into a tackle. He's like a less graceful Meyler and might fill the Ashbee shaped gap in our midfield. He'd be a good choice on a free and I can't imagine his wages would be astronomical. He made 7 PL appearances when Burnley were in the top flight but I can't remember him making much of a difference; that said he was very young at the time.

    He's also Irish, which is probably why we're being linked with him.
