Jordan Henderson has pinpointed club colleague Fabio Borini as a threat to England after the Three Lions arrived in Israel for the European U21 Championship with four Reds in their squad.

Henderson will skipper Stuart Pearce's team at the tournament - which kicks off on Wednesday, with England up against Borini's Italy - and Jack Robinson, Jonjo Shelvey and Andre Wisdom have also travelled.

The group trained in Israel for the first time on Monday and Henderson, who played at the competition two years ago in the same summer that he signed for the Reds, is in confident mood.

"It was good, obviously it's hot but we're getting used to it now with being out in Turkey for a week," the 22-year-old told FATV after the squad's first session.

"Training went well and hopefully we can carry on for the game on Wednesday.

"We're very confident and positive going into the game, we're looking forward to it and we just need to do like we have done in the last couple of years from the start and I'm sure we'll be alright."

England will compete in Group A alongside Italy, hosts Israel and Norway - and Henderson has warned that his teammates must stop Borini on Wednesday evening in Tel Aviv.

"He's a very good player; he's got very good movement. He's great at finishing so we need to be tight to him and stop his shots," the midfielder added.

I am sure it is teammates bigging each other up but both Hendo and Shelvey have talked about his finishing now and how deadly he is? Does it in practice but can't in the games?
