    £9m? Bit much. Why are we paying that when apparently he has a clause in his contract to leave for £5m? <laugh>

    Enough negativity guys! The fee is 4.3mil due to a release clause, there is no possible reason anyone would have to pay more than that, and he has said himself he will sign for us publicly, as has his manager. He hasnt signed yet because he'ls playing a Euro '12 qualifier with the France team, then is flying over to sign.

    Seems a move in the right direction, especially as our glorious chairman will probably take first offer on Barton - that said I cannot see him moving unless a so called big team comes in! Now CF/RB/CH needed!

    I think we can say goodbye to Joey and/or Nolan if he signs.

    This summer shall be an interesting/irritating (delete where applicable) one.

    Good article by the way, glad to read he's more box-to-box than simply defensive as I'd read.
