Reet! I for one am flabbergasterred by the recent turn of events, crazy graffer saying the things no-one dare to say. Inter milans cheif scout on our books ffs, angelero sniffing about ffs, de fifa fanti corrupting people no doubt ffs! 4 or so players signed by june 1st, linked with cavani @ £50m ffs! Bardo, killa and meningitus gone for starters I'll wake up in a minute on a sun lounger in ibiza I really think this is it lads and the stilletto
Am I the only one concerned by the overhaul. I pray it works i really do, but is it too much too soon, should it done be done over a few seasons? I'm not an expert but going off the past, clubs that do so much tend to produce so little
Its impossible not to feel this way marra, its our way, something is just a little different this time, structure, ambition, clout, leadership
Were between a rock and a hard place here me thinks, we all know things have to change with our current squad, ship some out and get some in, in the past Steve Bruce was slagged off for signing almost a full team in the close season, it does have its risks, but I feel it needs to be done as we cannot afford another pathetic effort like we had last season. Just hope PDC gets it right, we have to trust him and the early signs are good both OFF the field and on, our new background staff have to step up and only time will tell, we knew after the media reaction to PDC's appointment then the result against the Crass that we were headed into unknown waters, just hope he is the right guy to keep the ship which is our beloved SAFC afloat and on course. Only time will tell.
Those plus foresight and nerve from Short. Don`t suppose there`s many owners would dare to do what he has in the last 2 months. Major changes but well thought out and implemented. The timing is exactly right imo. It might look like a gamble to us but Short hasn`t got that much wealth through being an idiot.
Toppa! Is motivation and desire enough, i doubt it, fookin hell, here we go again! The pfa have ****ed off and ellis looks like he's behind sir paolo so wheres that ladder to the magic carpet coz i'm on it
We normally moan about the LACK of activity culminating in a last minute panic to sign people. I think this plan was hatched long before MoN was sacked, hence one manager replaced by a chief coach within 24 hours.
If he did not make wholesale changes then it is more likely than not we would have another season of dissapointment. PDC may make 5 or 6, perhaps 7 signings however it does not mean they would all feature in our starting 11 straight away so we will still have some familiar faces, Mignolet, O'Shea, Brown(I fancy PDC may sort him out or move him on) N'daye, Catts(?), Sess, Fletch, Johnson, Colback augmented by hopefull Rose and some of the names punted around as having agreed contracts. Players like Laarsson, Graham, Gardener, Whickham, Cuellar may have the opportunity to re-establish themselves whilst the youth's will feature more than previously.
