Hull City have made an approach for Honduran international target man George Welcome.

Welcome, who has 27 caps for his country, is reportedly a target for Steve Bruce's newly promoted side.

Having spent time on loan at Monaco and Mexican team Atlas, Welcome is apparently looking to move to Europe after a trial at then SPL club Rangers fell through due to the Scottish club's poor financial state.

A fee of £1.7m would be enough to tempt Welcome's club Montagua to sell. Whether or not work permit issues would surface remains to be seen.

If he failed at Monaco when they were in Ligue 2 and he was 26 then I can't imagine he would be the most prolific player in one of the best leagues in the world. It would be nice to see a big strong CF but I can't imagine it will be him.
