Apparently not content with linking Ben Arfa to Monaco, Cabaye to PSG, Tiote to Lokomtiv Moscow and Cisse to Anzhi, the media are now reporting that Monaco are also interested in signing Mbiwa and Debuchy.

If there if any truth in any of these rumours we should be milking all of these cash rich clubs for every penny. Hope to see proof that we are reluctant sellers and will only let players leave for inflated prices like when we sold Carroll.

    Debuchy £7m Mbiwa £10m Tiote £12m Ben Arfa £15 Cabaye £22m Cisse £17m.

That would be a total of more than 90 million. We could buy...

Andy Carroll, Jordan Rhodes, Johnny Russell, Tom Ince, Will Hughes, Mark Davies, Liam Bridcutt, Andy King, Aaron Cresswell, Nathan Baker, Johnny Evans, Sam Byram and Frazer Forster.

Aye, I'd be looking for a combined fee of £100m for selling those players. We could do a lot of damage with that......a HELL of a lot !

To be fair I think Monaco have already been linked with half our team.

We'd get more than 7m for Debuchy, without a doubt.

More like 10 for Debuchy, 12m for MYM. I'd keep Ben Arfa, but the other two could go. I think Mike would hold out for 25 for Cabs though.

As for those targets, I'd say yes to all except Russell (always been a tad average, if we're going to get at ST from scotland I'd have Hooper), Baker (not convinced me this year), Evans (Utd wouldn't let him go, he's been their defensive lynchpin this season) and Forster.

Believe it when it happens, too many jouralists desperate for stories and we tend to attract a lot of attention.

Following press speculation of interest from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala in Newcastle's Papiss Cisse - and rumours of an €18m (£15.4m) bid - supporting quotes attributed to the player's agent, Nickolay Guido were widely reported on Friday.

Within 24 hours however, Guido responded by denying that he'd made any such statement - and confirming that he hasn't represented the Magpies striker for some time.

Absolute bollocks. So some of you lot would have us sell almost our entire team and replace them with youngsters with no experience at the top level? We'd be relegated by Christmas.

Exactly - without a doubt, we need to bring in some UK talent, but this route would be suicide.

It would definitely be a very high risk strategy - we had some temporary success when we shipped Carroll, Enrique, Barton and Nolan in a 6 month period and then brought in Ba, Cabaye, Santon etc as replacements. Might encourage our owners to try similar this time. Tiote out, Wanyama and Will Hughes in for a similar amount/small outlay. Cabaye out, Siem De Jong and Sinclair or Ince in for a similar amount/small profit.

I'd be very disappointed if we sold Ben Arfa. I live in hope of an injury free season for him and think he would be magic if we could get it. Cisse I think would be far more effective if we could get someone like Carroll in to pair with him so we should keep. Also our desperate shortage of strikers would make this sale very silly. Mbiwa and Debuchy have only just joined so it would be unlikely but out of the two I would prefer to hang onto Mbiwa as he has great potential.

Hopefully we'll keep hold of Benni, Cabs, MYM & Debuchy.

But this is Newcastle United. Anything could happen!

Personally I wouldn't sell any of them. We just need to exchange a few of our also rans for better players. The players we bring in just need to strengthen the right areas. A left back, a centre back, a winger and 2 strikers will do. Fund some of it it by selling the likes of Obertan, Willo, Shola, Gosling, Simpson.

Selling all our top talent because the money is good would be a crazily fruit cake plan. I want us to start adding domestic talent and eventually produce our own. You have to do it slowly in a responsible manner though, otherwise it will completely destabilise the club. Our squad although a bit foreigner heavy is talented, its just seriously unbalanced by a lack of strikers and too many injury prone wingers. This leaves us short of goal scoring and creative options which you need to change and win games.

With HBA I think we need somebody who can play in place of him at times. I think the fans have to get away from this mentality of "he must play Benni" which seems to always raise its head whenever he is even half fit. Its understandable. The lad is supremely talented but his body is fragile and we have to learn to manage his fitness better. To do that we are gonna need some solid options fitness why. Marveaux is decent but struggles to stay fit also.

Tinkering not wholesale change would be my approach.

Agree, although Simmo has already gone on a free and you'd be lucky to get a combined £5m for the rest you've mentioned. :)

Precisely. If we did make £100m in outgoings we'd be lucky to see half of that pumped back into the team.

Some of those fees are laughable.
I suspect we will see more links than on Del Boys jewellery before the window is out.
Mike buys low and sells very high don't forget.

If we consistently sell the top players in our squad we will never achieve success. The only thing is that we will continue to line the pockets of our glorious leader. But it is inevitable that this will happen. Buy low sell high. Great way to run a business but not a football club.
