I'm just back from holiday. Here's an exchange between my youngest (aged 6) and myself on one of our days out, explaining why people had thrown some coins into a wishing well.

Me: Some people think that if they throw a coin in and make a wish, the wish will come true. What do you think? Do you think that works?
Him: (pause to think). No. I just think that's a waste of money
Me: Quite right. But it's a fun game to play, isn't it? Shall we have a go?
    Him: (eagerly) Yeah!

My wish was for us to sign Stekelenberg and Huddlestone; his was for us to win the FA Cup this season (he thinks bigger than I do!). So here's my question: what's everybody's Fulhamish wish for this season?

A decent cup run, either FA or League. I'd love to win one but would settle for runners up or brave losing semi-finalists. I am fed up with us exiting in the 3rd or fourth round of the FA Cup and going out in our first game in the league cup.

To win either of the cups.
A top 8 finish, and a stable team.

more of the things Ruiz has done on youtube done at the cottage, no more of Senderos' confused face, a good looking sponsor for the new shirt, Nacer Chadli, Berbatov to stay, youth to come through, glimpses of some of that sexy sexy football we played during 2011-2012, no more of that messianic al fayed video before the game, no more mentioning of the fact that we don't have the D's as an excuse from Jol, A good cup run, top 8 push..

and the naughty side of me; Hughes to get a whole season with Stoke, just so he can be relegated.

Through whatever route (Preferably not via Fair Play) I'd like to see us back in Europe, whether it was by winning/getting to the final of one of the domestic cups or finishing in the top 6/7 (unlikely). I declined the chance to go to the Juventus game at the Cottage due to a presentation the next morning I needed to prep for. This mistake needs to be amended, asap.

'that clapped out old bus' is no way to talk about Georgios Karagounis. He's done all right for us this year.

My wish list would be to avoid any relegation battles and to qualify for European football. I am missing those Thursday nights despite hating Sunday afternoons...
Any avenue to achieve it (FA Cup, League Cup or top 6-8 finish) will be great!
