  1. Apparently Everton tried to sign him, but couldn't because apparently Ba made "massive demands".

    Thoughts?

Never been too fussed on him and comes across like he's a bit of a knob so can't see these claims being too far from the truth. By the looks of things we're looking to conduct our business outside of the england

If he's asking for too much, then I'll pass on him. He's a GOOD striker but not a GREAT one.

Doubt they'll have been "massive demands", Everton just dont spend much.

    Well that's true. <ok>

Everton have been skint for years now, that's why the Barton going to Everton in a ''4 million deal'' rumour is just that.. a rumour.

I can imagine he would- he seems quite egotistical and west ham would have paid anything as they thought he'd keep them up!
i'd give him 30k but no more

  8. To be honest, i think he's a good striker, but i'd not pay more than 35k a week for him

No thanks, the bloke seems a complete prick with a terrible attitude problem. Also, he failed two medicals, one with Stuttgart and one with Stoke while he was at Hoffenheim over fears that his knee was about to explode in the near future and he was going to end up a ****ing cripple.

Like Sanchin0 said, he's good but not someone I would be massively excited about. He had a great start to the year but I wouldn't judge a player just on that.

I think Everton would be reluctant to give him more than 35, but we would go to 45.

Depending on who the source is from they will twist the story, If this has come from everton then offcourse they are going to say that he had 'massive demands'

The only reason i'd want him is if we didn't get anyone better (Gervinho, Gameiro, Sow, Mackail-Smith etc.)

To be fair to be him, he's a quality striker at L1 level & will probably still score 15+(if he stays fully fit) next season in the Championship, but he'll most likely be way out of his depth in the Premier League. Same with other lower league hotshots like Lambert, Danny Grahahm(top scorer in the CC), etc.

He created 3 more scoring opportunites for himself, and was only denied by brilliant challenges on all three times.

He was at the heart of the move that won the first free-kick.

He won several free-kicks on the edge of the box, both of which were close to scoring (despite the wall being only 4 yards away, not 10)

He caused problems for the Huddersfield defence all game.

I was at Old Trafford for the game, so I can go on all day if you want...

Bearing in mind Everton don't spend money, I think the massive demands could be OK for us.

He'd want to stay in the Premier League.

If he's fit and under contract Ba costs you a £6 - 8M transfer fee at least, plus £35k per week.

When he's free, which I understand he is, he'll cost you the equivalent of at least £50-60k per week over a 4 year contract. A lot of money for Everton who don't have a benefactor or a ground that helps them generate more money.

The big issue is whther he can remain reasonably fit for 4 years, he couldn't pass a medical for Stoke. If he is fit I'd have him, better than Shola and Best and the likes of Bothroyd and Cole because we need the option of someone powerful up front.
