Is it enough that he gives all he has got though if what he has got is limited?

Which roughly translates as: "He didn't score many goals."

Why does everyone seem to think that there's only two types of striker, those who score a lot and those who have no ability but run all day. It's bullshit.

He has been with AZ since 2011, scoring 31 goals for the club this season in all competition.

I think he is replying to his spell with us which he was **** in.

However if Lazio are after a player i highly doubt we will be able to bring him back, as clearly he has developed and i would quite like him back but not sure we are good enough for him anymore.

We where a step in the right direction, pity Steve Bruce wasn't in charge when he was here.

He was anything but **** in his spell with us, one of our best players that season. Scared the **** out of enemy defences, won no end of pens and free kicks and racked up his fair share of assists. He was our only real treat who looked as if he could actually break down or through a defence and make something happen. On what basis could anyone possibly say he was ****? Did you watch us that season?

Would he still be banned if he came back to the prem? Did he get a 3 game ban when he got sent off?

I did and he was gash.

Fell over way too easy, sometimes he won a free kick, sometimes he'd waste a goal scoring chance by being a big fairy.

He couldn't hit a donkeys arse with a banjo either.

Soz Bobble but I thought he was underpantage of the highest order.

Game of opinions you see old chum.

Mine is right and yours is wrong.

I quite liked him, but not sure if it was his on field performances or his ability on FM.

I'd take him back here tomorrow

I agree with you. It's not hindsight, I said it at the time that top international defenders were visibly **** scared when he ran at them with the ball. The problem was he couldn't finish so I suggested at the time the logical solution would be to try him on the wing.

He was young and learning and seems to have addressed his major weakspot so good on him.

Absolutely spot on. Gave some of the strongest CHs in the Prem, including Terry, an afternoon they haven't forgotten. He had speed, strength, and a rocket shot. With the lack of support he had, no strikers would have scored goals in that team. AND HE WAS 19!!! Playing injured most of the time he was with us too.

Have any of you who call him **** ever watched him since at AZ. 31 goals last season..many headers...and several would make the Prem highlight reels...30 yard rockets. Jozy is still only 23 and he is a powerhouse with skill and speed. He would have transformed our team last season...but we can't afford him now.

    Keep your hair on.

I haven't seen him since he left but that's got **** all to do with what I wrote.

That was based on his season here and that was ****.

    In my opinion.

At this rate someone will say he was better than Shearer in his prime but just a bit unlucky whilst with us.

    FFS.

I thought he was class, more to being an effective striker than to simply be judged on goals. I think he'd do well in the PL now, particularly as he's had a great season.

I think he was better than shearer in his prime. With a bit of service he'd have smashed them away. Sadly he had to create things for himself.

If he was as good as everyone is making out why did he go to an average Dutch side in a decidedly average league?

Not one manager in the Prem thought he was worth a punt, or it looks that way.

He may have developed into a better player but he really wasn't that clever when he was with us.

    IMO.

Don't understamd why people thought he was ****. He was exciting to watch and gave it his all. Played deeper than JVOH and linked up well with gim. He often created more chances for other players than got chances himself. I'd happily take him back but unfortunately we're not good enough for gim.

He was a big chunk of my £15mill on the 'how would you spend £15mill' thread cause I think him and Aluko could rip up the premier league next season. potentially they could be the difference between survival and relegation.

I'd rather have him than Rhodes.
