Evening all, I probably won't be around for a while, I had to say goodbye to my German Shepherd Krueger today, he had a seizure yesterday and tests today showed he had a tumour on his heart and liver - I can't even begin to describe how I feel right now without him, he was approaching 8 years old.
So sorry for your loss. We (my family) had a dobie for 13 years she died with a brain tumor it felt like i had lost one of my kids so so sorry
I feel for you Ristac. Last time I cried, I was 12 & my dog had just been run over. Still think of him & chuckle at his antics 43 years later. Such a strong bond, isn't it?
THE BOND BETWEEN ANIMALS (DOGS CATS etc) and their owners are beyond belief the don't sulk they don't hold grudges and no matter what they are the only ones pleased to see you
Sorry to hear of your loss mate. Must be such a shock with him not being very old. I've been through it a couple of times and it's not nice. All the best.
R.I.P Alsations are great dogs. Just ask user 'ERINBLACK' for advice etc! He loves them, he sadly lost 2 in the past year.
I recall when my dog died. Me and a few friends sang a barbershop quartet version of James Blunt's 'Goodbye My Lover' at his funeral, which was on the football field at the local primary school (as we didn't have a garden)
I lost my dog Hollie week before Christmas in horrific circumstances and it still haunts me now. Kissa remembers when that happened. You will never forget them but it does get easier. I still have a cry every now and again and expect to see her when I walk in the house. Just remember the good times.
Know how you're feeling mate. Big animal lovers in our house, three dogs and three cats. Almost a zoo in fact. Hopefully over time you will find another dog companion that will help ease the loss
