I can't believe how many of you don't like Turkey. I've been all over Europe and Turkey is probably my favourite place out of all of them. Mind you, I have never been to any of the major big resorts, and usually hire a villa out in a small town called Dallian which is fantastic, with a private swimming pool and huge gardens with fruit trees all to ourselves: the kids love it there.
****ing hell where do i start..... Those of you that know me on Facey will have gathered that we get about a bit... Sooooooo.... - Obviously we're off to live in Marbella 5th June. -26th of June we are off to New York, then onwards to Chicago, nice. -Mid July we have 5 days on the Algarve, i like the Algarve, golf, beer and distinctly average food.... -2nd week in August off to Phoenix with the lads to 'play golf' -December we are in Barbados, not for Christmas mind, as my mother would cut my balls off if i wasn't there for dinner. Nice.
I know I have said it many times before but I just love these threads and all your stories. We read our thoughts on football and get a picture of who we are, what we do and how we live. Then we get these stories and the real person behind the funny user name comes out and what lives we have led.
Not going anywhere this year cos were absolutely broke! Been to a few places in my youth though. Did the Camp America thing for 3 years in my late teens early twenties. Went back to the USA when I marries the first wife (bitch!) where we stayed in New York, Vegas, Hawaii and LA (was at the Siegfried and Roy show in Vegas when the tiger dragged him off stage by the throat!!!) when I was a youth worker I took some kids to Germany for 3 weeks for a summer camp and then the following year took them to the Balkans (Bosnia and Montenegro) Montenegro for me is the most amazing country I've been to with stunning scenery. I also love Cyprus where my wife and I went on Honeymoon. Damn I need a holiday!!!
iv'e been before mate but it was a lads trip and never got very far, if you know what i mean, i love asian babes. Fired AK47 hundreds of times and i'm certainly not gonna pay for the pleasure, go to cambodia, you can blow a cow up if you wish. Strange as i wouldn't mind a trip home, few pints in the cliff, derby or blue bell, and catch a couple of matches, all the things you all take for granted.

Lucky enough to travel the world with the Army went just about everywhere Belize twice (cracking place would live there no problem), Kenya twice nice place stayed at Nanyuki and Navasha and Baringo on R and R, Canada for a year another brilliant place, Cyprus for 2 years did enjoy it some bad memories though, Australia for about 2 months exercise, Hong Kong before the Chinese got hold of it. Been travelling to Norway, Iceland, Canada again, Turkey was okay Icmeler but, never really fancied Spain although Barcelona was a good laugh would do Portugal mind heard it's good. Even after all that I still feel good coming home even if the place has gone to the dogs.

I like most places I've been to but these days prefer shorthaul flights and departure and arrival at Ponteland International Airport. The wife and I will be going to Lake Garda in Italy in a couple of weeks to chill out, it's about the fifth year running we've done that. The last couple of years we've had short breaks in Barcelona with friends which is a good city break and in October we're going to Granada. I'd like to go more on holiday but the wife loves her gardening and is reluctant to go anywhere from May to September. I think I've got her convinced to have a winter holiday next year, maybe February, but don't really want to do long haul. Any suggestions?
Not going anywhere this yearr as my friend from Paris is coming over for a week. By the way he is also a Sunderland supporter and haas been since 1962
Long time since iv'e been to the algarve syd, but went a few times so i must have likes it. But if you like city breaks you've got lisbon, and the original SOL
I hate to say it but ive missed you guys as ive just returned from a weeks break in Turkey playing golf The courses are fantastic (unfortunately my golf is not) I love to travel and Cornwall is my favourite place in England which i spent many of my childhood days there. I have traveled a fair bit and Thailand USA and Egypt must be my top 3 I am going to the Cape Verde islands in August and i am going to miss a couple of games i thing but as long as they are at Chelsea which is the biggest rip off ground in the country and Old trafford wich is the most overrated ground in the country i will see every other game Enjoy your hols everyone
Good luck with your search, Dorset. Ireland is a really small country and literally, everybody knows everybody else or somebody who does. My bro used to work in a big plant in Amstelveen. The Irish lads there used to play a game in the canteen when a newcomer arrived. Within two minutes, somebody would know a friend, relative or acquaintance of the newbie. Holidays Best âholidayâ ever was when I was dating a California Girl and went with her to LA and San Fr in â96. Tried to find a job without a green card but no joy. Had to leave after three months and ended up here. But she showed me a really good time and took me all over the place, including Las Vegas and Reno. Unforgettable. Waking up in San Francisco in a rented apartment just off Haight-Ashbury with the sea fog swirling all around. Good times. OH and I are fans of the short break rather than two weeks somewhere. Took my ex and the kids to Nerja once and was bored out of my skull. Been several times with current OH to Italy (Rome, Milan, Cinque Terre), Lisbon (excellent), Madrid, Malta. That was in better times before she was laid low with chronic fatigue syndrome two years ago. The best of those was the Cinque Terre. I would go back to live there permanently in a heartbeat. Love Italy above all other destinations.
The Cinque Terre is fantastic. We stayed at Vernazza and used it as a base for walking the trails. Then we went on to Florence and Sienna which are among are favourite places. In Vernazza we hired a room which was basic but dirt cheap as there were no hotels to speak about.
