That's what the tigers must have thought, they decided to eat Roy. If your taking in a show in Vegas, then Cirque du Soleil is by far the best option.
In the early 90's we were in Vegas and my wife bought us a couple of tickets to a show at the MGM Grand telling me that I was going to see something special. The venue was decked out with then world heavy weight champ Evander Holyfield posters and the atmosphere was electric. Although not too many tough guys were there but lots of old ladies. I noticed that there wasn't a boxing ring set up and then realised the fight had been the night before. A few minutes later Torvill and Dean skated out for their farewell tour. We then left. Or should I say I did and went to play the slots. You don't get that in Withernsea.
I bumped into Mike Tyson in the lobby of Ceasers Palace, we followed him upstairs and he did an open sparring session. He's a scary bastard.
Theyres a lot better shows in Vegas than that lammie if you know where to look........ Meant to say Vegas is ****ing great. Everything you can ever want there on tap. Meanwhile i´m in tenerife and its ****ing ****ing ****ing cloudy, still hot though.
I went to Turkey last year. It'd been 40-45°C every day for six weeks, and what happened when I arrived? It pissed it down for three days straight
I do wish people would visit the US and then go to an actually american city/town instead of these giant billboard and light monstrosities. Give me New Orleans, Charleston or one of the thousand small towns scattered across this country any day of the week. Instead people go to New York, Vegas, LA, SF, DC which are really just terrible places that certainly do not give an accurate representation of the US.
Visit Chicago a real American city!! No bill-boards, great architecture, brilliant museums and food to die for.
Unless you want culture, interesting locals, history, exceptional food and architecture of course. As i strolled around The Venetian I genuinely, no word of a lie, overheard some American tourists say "This is beautiful, there's no need to go to Venice now".
I went to see my cousins a few years ago in Levittown just outside Philly. It was well off the tourist areas and they wasn't used to having a Brit among 'em. I'll just say the local ladies sure did enjoy fraternizing. They loved my accent and I couldn't go wrong. One of my better holidays
Do you know San Diego out of interest? I've not been but so many people I know who travel say it is the best place they have ever been.
Na I have never been there. I have friends who live there though and they have nothing but good things to say about it.
San Diego is a nice city. It has a great zoo, fabulous coast and a quiet civilized city. Best of all it has a moderate climate all year round. Good place to visit with kids. Go up the coast 20 miles to La Jolla and see where all the millionaires live..Romney has a place there...unbelievable properties.
Surely they've got a point? And on that rational( should that have an e on the end?) I don't need to go to Vegas because I've been in Teddy's on Newland Ave.
When you ask people who travel their favourite place they've been you invariably get a different answer each time but every single one who has been to San Diego always says there. I shall have to give it a whirl.
America is so massive. I've never been, but hopefully soon I will do. There's loads of places I want to see. My first port of call would be NY, I realise some of the comments on this thread, but I decided that a long time ago. I am hoping in the next year or so to get my butt over there.
I'm hearing you loud and clear on that one Stan. I used to go to the one on Holderness Road so I can tick that ****hole off the list as well.
