What do you want me to say? It is true, a wall collapsed - when hundreds of innocent fans fleeing the mindless dickheads rioting in the stadium were crushed against it, just as my fiancee and me were crushed on the other side of the stadium fleeing in the opposite direction. AND, although I didn't see this until I got home and watched it on tv days later, I saw several Liverpool fans still charging into the Italians to get at some Juventus fans even AFTER that wall collapsed and it was obvious many people were severly distressed. Bastards, every one of them.
"Thirdly, that minor detail of the case doesn't change that Suarez said something racist." Btw, this isn't just a 'minor detail'. There was not one iota of independent evidence that Suarez had said anything other that what he readily admitted he'd said, even though there wan't any video evidence of even that (though there was of Evra telling Suarez to go and **** his sister in Spanish - something Evra never admitted to until the vt evidence was shown privately to him). So, the only evidence that Suarez repeatedly racially abused Evra with intent was solely upon the credibility of Evra's testamony, as not one word was overheard in a crowded goalmouth nor recorded on several cameras within the ground pointing at them. So, not a 'minor detail', but the major plank of the prosecution case - Evra's honesty and credibility as a witness.
It's one of the popular ones in the away fans songbook - I've heard it sung in pubs around Wembley a fair few times.
I don't know if I'd call it popular. The worst is a Christmas special, to the tune of the Wizzard song: Well I wish it could be Hillsborough everyday When Scousers are screaming and the fence begins to sway
They sing it every time they come down. But to be fair if the subject was about songs that other teams' supporters sing in pubs before games then we could shine a light on a whole heap of them. Some of the travelling Liverpool fans, for example, don't exactly sing Ave maria and Shine Jesus Shine before games. Mind you, when they sing a song where they flap their arms in the air maybe I minsinterpreted and they were singing a song about angels flying.......
JUSTICE FOR LUIS. There's another campaign to fill the empty void of being a scouser/Liverpool fan for the next 20 years.
In Donga world he didn't racially abuse Evra, didn't bite Ivanovic, has never, ever, dived and has never once perpetrated an ankle breaking snide as **** tackle and it is all the fault of the press. In the real world he's an odious piece of ****e who should be put down.
As soon as he goes they will. They'll be outraged by his betrayal and suddenly see him for what he is.
Not in this case - it'll be the fault of people like you and me for misrepresenting and misunderstanding him and driving a true world class player away purely out of jealousy.
