I don't think Sparky would turn it down. He left Fulham because he wanted higher a higher profile job and got QPR! It would be a good move for him but not for Stoke, they can get a better manager methinks.

Noel Hunt is attracting interest from some clubs including us:
    http://www1.skysports.com/football/...riker-Noel-Hunt-attracting-interest-from-trio

33 goals 1n 144 apps isn't too good for a striker. but would be a free transfer.

Sky also says Wittingham definitly staying: http://www1.skysports.com/football/teams/cardiffcity

WOL: Malky says "be patient" http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/cardiff-city-boss-malky-mackay-4018613

And finally: Martinez to Everton: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...o-quit-Wigan-as-he-tops-Everton-wishlist.html

Mark Hughes is more than capable of taking Stoke down.

Lets hope he gets the job!!

No way, he's never worth 7 million of anyone's money. - a bit harsh, maybe worth 7 million rupees but no more!

That really would destroy our season. Kenwynne Jones in our terrible new shirt. NO.

Football rumours reckons Charlie Austin from Burnley is on the way for 5m.
    82 games/41 goals at Burnley.

Seems like a guess rather than fact.

Football rumours also reckons we are going to sign Joe Ledley and Gary Hooper for a combined fee of £9m.

Why would we want Ledley back?

We should have gone in for Hooper after his first season at Scunthorpe. Ridsdale was looking at Billy Sharp at the Blades at the time, but Hooper would have been the better target.

Hooper plays much the same role as Campbell/Maynard but can mix it with defenders to a greater degree. He'd e a good buy on his own, but to include Ledley in the package could be step backwards.

We need a bigger man up front as well - someone like Carlton Cole. I said someone LIKE Cole, not actually him.

I agree sparkey. think we need two back to goal / hold up strikers. There will be times next season where we need to get rid of the ball from the back and not have it come straight back at us.

I think he played alongside Jolly Rog at Wycombe before he came to us. Not sure about the Malky connection though - didn't he leave Watford under a cloud?
