"Leeds United are believed to be considering tabling a bid to sign Andy King and Jermaine Beckford as Leicester look to revamp their squad and address their finances following their failure to win promotion to the Premier League." Also, Eric Lichaj to Forest, would rather have him at Leeds ... Villa after Charlie Austin ... would also rather have him at Leeds, should have signed him instead of Billy Bunter at the time!!

That is all I've been told. King would be worth getting, not sure about Becks, but it may be a condition set by Leicester that they both come as a package, if so Becks will probably be a season loan, can't see us forking out a fee for him. If this is accurate, Leicester must be in a bit of trouble financially, and Pearson has to sell before he can buy.

Andy King would be a good signing !! , and I have to say I would welcome Becks back, he might not have faired well at other clubs but he is the type of player that thrives on the crowd and he knows he is loved at ER so I personally think he would be back in the goals if he came home, others will disagree I'm sure.

I would take both. King is better than anyone we have in that position and we know Beckford can score goals, whether he would suit our style or not is still a question to be answered. In truth I'd prefer Sharp to Beckford but they are again both better than what we have to play alongside McCormack.

I would also like us to sign Lichaj, really think we are gonna miss out on him though. Austin is never an option, agree that we shoulda signed him over Paynter at the time and there were some on here saying that but hindsight is always a wonderful thing

Yes to King but Beckford surely depends on what McDermott wants to do with Morison. If he can get his confidence back, shed a stone in weight and regain some sharpness then I can’t see why we would want another striker, especially someone like Beckford who would command hefty wages.

I would take Beckford back any day of the week! He has that movement we lack up front and with Rosco playing just behind him we would bang in the goals!

King would be a good signing but i think we would need to get rid of Brown, Tonge and Norris first.

I think we should be looking at a top quality striker, as I have said many time Sharp would be ideal if not my second choice would be Gayle. I would love for us to get Morison's confidence back as well so that we have 3 quality championship strikers with Ross, Morison and a new striker. Then we would be in a really strong position and start creating squad strength and depth

    I'd have both. <ok>

As for Morison, he's awful and I hope i'm wrong, but i can't see him improving massively.

Next season Beckford would get 20+ for us, i'd be surprised (pleasantly mind) if Morison could manage 15!

Nah, Morison has it in him. He needs a proper pre-season and I think he could do well

Whether he will or not is a different matter and thats why we should sign a proper quality striker

Maybe we should revert to the all out attack, Becford, Morrison, Mccormack up top.

I've said it before but quite a few players last year looked out of shape, including Morison. I hope that McDermott has them running up and down mountains during pre-season. We shipped so many goals in the last 15 minutes last season, some of which must have been down to our overall lack of fitness.

I fear we are all in for a big fall, remember some of these rumoured names and compare them to the freebies we actually get in <ok>

I couldn't agree more, fitness appeared to be such a big problem. The reason imo for this was because of Warnock.

Pre-season in Cornwall a year ago was a joke of a preparation.

    Morning guys

I imagine that Beckford will be released on a free/nominal amount just to get him out of the club and off the wage bill - our manager at present doesn't seem to like him - Neil Danns will be on a similar deal, Leicester will have to literally pay the player to go so in my opinion if managed properly someone will be getting a 15 goals + striker for next to nothing, albeit on probably 20k a week.

I have to agree, it seems Warnock messed up with fitness. McD should fix this problem, and it will help to get players firing at the level they are capable of. Funny that Colin blasted Grayson over this exact issue!!

Maybe many of the players are too old and incapable of getting fitter?

According to a poster Beckford has been released but who is going to pay him 40k a week answer no one so Leicester will have to pay up thge remainder of his contract some£ 2m for him to go or come to some arrangement with the club he signs for pay him max £10k a week on appearances and you might have a bargain

Beckford is currently on 27k a week, not 40k

Still is more than practically anyone interested would pay which would mean he would have no choice other than to reduce his wage
