This deal was already done, it just needed his existing contract to expire before he could sign a new one, there was really nothing for Brucey to do with this one.

Aluko? Koren? That's it.. and he'll be coming into his prime next few years. I rate Boyd much higher than Koren now and people say Koren will be more effective in the PL, well so will Boyd. Free transfer, relatively low wages, lots of ability = good squad player at the least.
I just think if we are to stay up we need grafters, i'm sorry but between them Koren and Boyd must have knocked up less then 10 tackles all season... they were the players that went missing when the going got tough with 5 games to go. I wouldn't start with either of them!
Are you joking...or just plain ignorant. Boyd is an immensely talented player...and FYI he was making tackles all over the field in the Cardiff game. Perhaps you can't distinguish him from Koren...who has definitely made less than 10 tackles all season.
Sorry Canada, you're way out of order here.....Koren has made our team tick for the last 18 months, it's not his job to tackle especially considering that for the most part of this year he's been playing out of his position up front....I still think Koren is much maligned - good enough for EPL..? The jury's still out on that but he'll get more space, more room to do his thing....with more space, Boyd, Aluko & others working from him don't count him out just yet......
