Why are we bothering with this man, he is history. A bankrupt and discredited by the football authorities and the courts. He is probably hoping that the WO will defame him in some way and he can get some compo, Sally Bercow/Lord Mcalpine style.
I have read the Watford Observer text and Laurence Bassini is a nasty sad little man. Perhaps he should have wished us well, then we really could be worried.

I think its karma that somehow his mobile number has been leaked. He deserves a swarm of abuse (pun intended)
Fortunately his spite is of no more consequence to us now than that of the occasional WUM on our boards. Faintly annoying but nothing else - all the more reason to thank the Pozzos for turning him into history.
Guys, I called Bassinni last night, and he didn't pick up I left him a message saying "mwa ha ha". A few minutes later he called me! # He said, these are his words, " Why is everybody calling me!" I said "You sent messages to the Watford Observer" He said "Some ****er decided to use my number and send messages to the [Watford] Observer. I haven't done anything wrong." I said " You did mess up Watford" He said " I was left out of pocket. When I bought the club, we were £10 million in debt when we left we were in £3 million debt ( I think he said he payed £7 million of debt). I did what was best for the club, I was there on Monday*" I said: "What about the transfer embargo?" He said "The embargo wasn't my fault and that it was said the FA had said that that I hadn't benefited from the deal" I said: " Well it sounds quite dodgy" He said " Well it wasn't, I didn't benefit from the situation, is there anything else you want to say?"
