To say that the highest position in the country is awarded due to privilege of birth sends out the exact opposite message we should want our children to aspire to. The head of state is a rank that should be earned not owned and should go not to a politician, but to someone the people believe would make the most fitting ambassador for our country. My vote would be David Attenborough.
You seem to have misunderstood the point: Your "wealth" has come from an accident of birth. If you disagree that people should be part of a royal family due to an accident of birth then why should you have more money than most people in India or Africa purely because you were born in this country?
You'd still need to be from a wealhty family to be the head of state, whatever title you have- whether it's President or PM. I can't think of many Presidents of the USA who've not been from wealthy families. If there are any.
I think this is still the place to talk about the football? But how many one on one's is Wilbraham going to miss?
No it hasn't. There are tens of millions of people wealthier than me in India and tens of millions of people poorer than me in Britain.
That argument doesn't scan. Just because historically Heads of State have been from wealthy families doesn't mean they have to be.
Im confused title says play off final posts going on about the royal family did watford loan one of them as well or something? But on the topic of the final is it just me or does wilbraham just enjoy aiming it at the keeper?? He is shocking!
