He did it well Oddy - looks a good prospect. That will be a maiden to follow i believe. The one that was heavily backed throughout he day was unlucky with the draw - used all his gas to get a handy position because of the outside berth. Left with nothing else in his legs when push came to shove. Alerts.

Very nice from Leading Light...lovely tough attitude.

Better than a G3 colt on that evidence imo.

    Camelot- finally we get clarity.

A beautiful horse but they win a **** guineas, an AWFUL Derby, and tried to steal a cheap Leger before proclaiming him a stud superstar.

Not powerful enough at the finish and never will be.

Afternoon guys waiting on Camelot to give me a treble with sir John Hawkins and leading light but gutted I took 5/4 on SJH otherwise I'd have picked up nearer to £80 rather than just over £50 still a winners a winner whatever the price and to get a treble is a right result IF it comes off ;)

Jockey faultless, Horse wasn't good enough. Never as been, Never will be... His 3 year old classic campaign was probably one of the worst lots of 3 year olds you could come across. No doubt we'll hear of a problem now and he'll be quickly retired off to stud. Not really the horse's fault either, It seems the norm when Aidan gets a nice 2 year old that hes potentially the best he's ever trained...

Not good enough and beaten by a decent but not great (yet) horse....where to now?...big headscratcher for Coolmore.

This fella was to enter seamlessly into the shed occupied by his late father.

Wonder if DA is going to be the same?...beat a rag in the Guineas with poor sections. His closest rival was sick and the form got ripped up yestreday.

Add to that the fact that the only 3-y-o this year to tackle open pattern company was swept aside at Windsor after being backed off the boards.Since he came for the Hannon yard, who have a fair handle on this years Classic form,it's possible this years 3-y-o's are poor as well.

Too early to say but there is a common thread...O'Brien hyped up Camelot and Bolger is even more complimentary about his star and equally dismissive of all others...maybe he's right and until he's beaten he must have the benefit of the doubt...like Camelot had last year.

Fascinating to see how this plays out.

Really good point, it will be fascinating. It kinda starts with next Saturday. At the moment, I can't envisage a good middle distance race anywhere this season! Nathaniel and Danedream have retired, Camelot is a donkey, So You Think has retired, Frankel has retired.

I might enter myself in the Eclipse at this rate!

Lol Toppy...we do a new middle distance star and thankfully we have St Nicks Abbey as a barometer on which to gauge them...wonder do timeform pay his training fees?..saves them a lot of hard work in the old calibration dept.
