My Mum and Dad bought me a Raleigh Chopper for my thirteenth birthday, loved that bike even though it was a nut crusher if you braked too hard !
I would go for a 10 speed as well, most new bike are with that now and certainly 9 speed are getting harder to find parts for. Cube bikes are fantastic. Not too expensive but fantastic build quality. Even if you buy a basic bike to start with it is easy to add bits to improve it along the way
I DJ house music too in my spare time and I make music on a programme called Logic Pro along with various bits of hardware like midi keyboards, you could also call this studying sound engineering. tastes? I had a few good years on the dance floor mate...
I am really pleased that both halves of east Anglia are enjoying this thread. I have enjoyed reading all the posts and it is good to get to know everybody a little better. I am also a bit of a rock god and go to concerts regularly. We saw muse on Wednesday night but are massive foo fighters and kasabian fans as well.
Used to go to gigs back in the day, was at Knebworth Park to see the one and only Freddie Mercury and Queen when they did the 'magic' tour. The hairs still stand up on the back of my neck now remembering that night. When Freddie burst onto the stage the crowd erupted, what a showman, happy days please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
K-I-O you lucky devil...I remember watching Queen at Live Aid (on the telly) and they were just supreme
Was at the David Bowie exhibition at the V&A today. Interesting. And it's Muse at the Emirates tomorrow night. Can't wait...
Ooft, very lucky. If I didn't have exams I'd have probably gone down for that one, I got offered a ticket last week which was very difficult to turn down. I've seen them at the O2 (with #BHW in fact), and at Wembley stadium. Both brilliant nights, enjoy!
What a brilliant thread! I don't have many hobbies really, I'm a massive sports fan and will watch pretty much anything (I've found myself getting worked up over Curling before!!). I enjoy walking, running, and getting involved with local politics in West Norfolk. Bugger to the Incinerator.
I've been on twitter for about 3-4 weeks now and find it bloody addictive, follow most people on here I think ? For those who might like to bump up my followers, I'm Ricky van Smith .......thanks in advance
Been playing a lot of FIFA 13 this weekend, think I'm having football withdrawal lol. Other hobbies and pastimes also include watching TV/Films/Gaming, Reading, Drawing/Making things and running
Quite a broad spectrum mate anything from Disco to Detroit Techno but I'm more into the housey side of things, used to be into the progressive stuff so Sasha & Digweed, Danny Howells, Nick Warren etc now I play a lot of deep stuff so music from labels like Noir, Get Physical, Visionquest, Crosstown Rebels, Culprit, Leftroom and some Hot Creations stuff, listen to DJs Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Subb An, Damien Lazarus, Richy Ahmed, Robert James, Matt Tolfrey, Soul Clap, Laura Jones, Benoit & Sergio, BLONDISH, Wolf & Lamb, Scuba I even crank out some old Chicago stuff from time to time.
Really love getting on to the water these days. Often to be found kayaking the waterways of Norfolk and around Cambridge. Spent today watching one of my daughters, who rows for Cantabs, compete in the Cambridge Nines Regatta, marvellous stuff. Would like to do some sea kayaking too. Love to leisure cycle also, easier on the joints after I gave up running and orienteering. Indoor pursuits are music (including currently having piano lessons!) and books (and spending too much time here).
