My old mentor Stick, Bernard Hopkins used to say if you fight away you start 2 rounds down due to hometown scoring so I think this may be reflected in the price, me personally I don't see it that way and trust the great british justice system to call it down the middle. Think if Froch boxes clever like he did against Abraham then he can get the nod but I think he is too fired up and will try and trade allowing Kessler to pick him off with his jab and superior footwork. Should be a barnburner.
Noble mission HAS to win today. 4/6 looks value to me against a bunch of average handicappers in a listed race! Id be surprised if Sole Power got beat and he definitely wont be out of the top three. Over in Ireland i have been very impressed by Coach House and think he could go onto very big things so i am expecting him to win today. Not gonna make me rich but a nice looking treble for me today! 2.15 Curragh Coach House 4/5 3.50 Sole Power Sole Power 13/8 4.05 Goodwood Noble Mission 4/6 Also going to have a small bet on the mad mad mad mad mad moose over at York. Clearly has ability and ran a good race at chester last time.
Coach House for me as well Brough. Really very keen on him. Wexford will have to improve loads to beat him. Unusual profile for a Ballydoyle horse though. Looks a sprinter to my eye. 5 furlongs is a perfect trip for him. 5/4
15:10 Chester - Summerinthecity (Modest bet at 5/1 this one. Return to 6f OK and if he traps well (always a big 'if' at this track) goes in with a decent chance).
Afternoon all. Can't see SOLE POWER getting beat on that ground today. Really looking forward to seeing WAS run today she is going to have a really good season hoping she can grab a place today maybe because 1m is a bit short for her therefore a no bet race. NAP today is FRANCISCAN 4.00 YORK - slipped back down to last winning mark which was over C&D and he is interesting in first time blinkers. Overpriced at 14/1 imo. Magician will not be winning the Irish Guineas 1m on quick ground NO CHANCE awful favorite and VAN DER NEER is my idea of the winner. Perhaps is an interesting runner in the 1.45 being a full sister to Battle Of Marengo - will need further than 6f and JOB prefers Bye Bye Birdie today but Perhaps should do well when she goes up in distance. With Stick on the boxing as well. Kessler to outpoint Froch
Opening things up with 25/1 each way chance Fly To The Moon at the Curragh. Obviously its a small flutter at those odds, but this horse travelled much better than the more fancied stablemate (went off 11/4) but met trouble before looking green. Should have learnt an awful lot from that and can make the frame at very nice odds.
Guys, boylesports are laying bayern to win to nil at 5/1!!! only can get 20 on, but its a stonking bet imo
Got a few fancies today. Jamaican Bolt 2.55 York - He was pulled late on last week but the horse that won was behind him that previous race and the form looks solid enough. Nice EW Price Sole Power 3.50 Haydock - Enough has been said on the forum today. Fast in the Wind 2.15 Curragh - Beat Coach House FTO by a 1/2l and hoping he can prove that was no fluke. Pearl Bridge 4.35 York - Looking to overturn the long odds on favourite. £1 EW Lucky 15
Backed Sharon in the Ffos Las bumper 16/1 each way. Long, expensive trip. Ran in a good bumper LTO. It'll do for me. Dortmund haven't lost to Bayern since 2010.
Living in Germany I see quite a bit of German football and I don't think it's as clear cut as the bookies have it. Dortmund are Bayern's real bogie team and they will make it very very difficult for them. Since March 10, 2010, in nine games, Bayern Munich have won 2 matches, Borussia Dortmund have won an impressive 5 and they have drawn twice. I certainly don't see Bayern keeping a clean sheet.
I'm backing Dortmund to win 3-1 tonight- I think they'll literally bring it all to the table tonight. Their fans are amazing and they are not in the final by fluke.
Reckoning could be better than her mark and may benefit some from the cheekpeaces. Ignore last run , didn't stay 12F
