If true Ash will be missed but the fee should compensate. If he went on a free like Pratley or Dorus then I'd be gutted. Anyway the transfer window isn't open yet so we will just have to wait and see.
Should turn to FC Nordsjaelland: Jores Okore There's your man!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jores_Okore
For £10 mill with all summer to look for a replacement .....SOLD! Good business and Scumbag Moralee's influence diminishes(still has his claws in Taylor though)
Although yet to be officially confirmed by either Arsenal or Swansea, the Gunners have reportedly agreed terms with the Welsh outfit to sign centre half Ashley Williams on Friday. Should the transfer come to fruition, Arsenal will have beaten out the likes of LIverpool for the 28-year-old Welsh international. Figures between £8-10 million have been banded about as the potential transfer fee for Swansea’s captain, whilst most media outlets are spinning the story as also being the death-knell in Thomas Vermaelen’s career at the Emirates. 3 year deal he is reported to have accepted.....I think we need a minimum of 2 strikers,2 defenders and 2 midfielders for next season. I cant see him using the young irish guy much if at all....he needs to go out on loan now...
3 years at £60,000.00 per week. Nice work if you can get it. If he does go,I wish him well. He's been great for The Swans' since joining from Stockport.
that's just basic money Lib,, add win/draw bonuses on top of that plus cup progression and he will become a very rich man...
This is going to be one of them stories that will drag on till it happens. The club should know by now that us fans are hardend to all the crap surrounding rumours about our top players, so should just come out and say it like it is. I do get fed up hearing the same old "we haven't had an official approach yet". That's usually followed up with an exit

Looks like talks have broken down Arsenal are facing a battle to land Swansea defender Ashley Williams as reports claim they are reluctant to pay £10million.
Gunners favourites to sign Dinamo Zagreb defender Tin Jedvaj in a £6 million deal. Arsenal are leading the chase to sign Croatian hot prospect Tin Jedvaj from Dinamo Zagreb in a £6mllion deal. The Sun understands that the 17-year-old, who has already trained with the Croatian national team, is being touted by Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger as a long-term option to sure up the Gunners backline. Jedvaj had been tipped for a move to Serie A side Roma this summer, although the club reportedly had a £5million bid for the defender rejected last week. The Croatian Under-19s international made 13 appearances for Zagreb last season, to help the club secure their eighth consecutive league title. With Arsenal having already released centre-backs Sebastien Squillaci and Sead Hajrovic this summer and with Swiss international Johan Djourou set to follow out of the Emirates exit door, the Gunners are looking to add to their defensive options ahead of the start of the season. The club are believed to have been pursuing Swansea defender and captain Ashley Williams in recent weeks, although are turning to alternative options after they were put off by the £10million price-tag slapped on him. Another defender being linked with a move to North London is versatile German teen Matthias Ginter, a 19-year-old who currently plays for Bundesliga outfit Freiburg. On or Off , who really knows
