Racing today comes from Notthinham, Uttoxeter, Fontwell, Downpatrick and Leopardstown.

Cracking day again yesterday for the champions of the punting board. As usual. Star of the show by a short half head was Tamerlo who just pipped Islander and Blues in a three way finish.

    Tam.
    <cracker> 9-4, <cracker> 4-1, <cracker> 17-2.

    Islander. <cracker> 5-2, <cracker> 4-1.

    Blues. <cracker> 6-1. <cracker> 11-10 (football)

Bet of the day for me comes in the G3 Ballycorus Stakes at Leopardstown. Zoffany looks to he a strong hold on the race. AOB seems to firing on all cylinders at the moment. As a winner at G1 and G3, he's hardly a great price. but 15-8 looks a nice price.

    2.55 Leopardstown. Secretary Of State.
    3.25 Leopardstown. Zoffany.
3.55. Leopardstown. Fame And Glory. (nap)

    Good morning, Cyclonic.
I can't give any horse racing tips today- don't fancy anything at all!
So my nap is Vettel to win The Monaco Grand Prix at 1/2.
Seems a good price- so long as he gets out in front art the start.
    Best wishes to everyone.

I'm a huge Redbull fan Tam, so it's a win there for me too. Vettel off pole looks the part, but pitstops could bring them undone. When they feed back, they could be held up. Any of them could. I wanted Webber to get pole, but Vettel has the wood on him. Webber just can't get off the line, so I fear that might be swamped at the start. The championship looks like Vettel's for the taking, the rest are racing for second. Congrats on a great day yesterday.

    Thanks, Cyclonic.
Vettel is certainly full of confidence and driving like a man inspired at the moment.
Only Hamilton seems to be matching him for raw pace and was unlucky yesterday in qualifying- he would cetainly have been close to Vettel on his fastest lap, barring the accident delay.
Mark must be a little fed up at the moment- trying to come to grips with Seb; but he's a good driver and things may turn his way.
Must go and have my breakfast-I'm starving.
    speak with you later.
    K.regards,Tam

Can only concur with above sentiments regarding Vettel at minute. I'm massive Hamilton fan (stick them in same car and personally I'd take Lewis every day, he's a better 'racer' than Seb) but I see he's actually now starting 9th after a 2 place penalty...a lot of dropped points from them <angry>

I agree Vettel should win, very hard to see otherwise, but my nap is attempting to offer and is what I consider good value..

NAP is Vettel to win and post fastest lap 7-2 (Bet365)

    Good luck!

Hi, beeforsalmon. There's no doubt Hamilton is a tremendous driver with great aggression- which can undo him sometimes.
Yet didn't he look glum in his post-race interview yesterday?
I accept Vettel is doing his racing "from the front" but his championship win has certainly inspired him, and he's not making any mistakes.
Yes, the test will come when he has to 'chase' more often.
What do you think of Monaco?
It's visually tremendous but I've always believed that Formula One circuits should have been designed with more overtaking opportunities, albeit well planned.
Monaco can be too much of a procession for the viewer.

PS beeforsalmon. I prefer 1/2 Vettel to win. Your 7/2 may be undone by Hamilton posting the fastest lap- or even Webber.

I've never been a Monaco fan. I can't make out why the traditionalists like the place so much. I do however think that the new tyres are opening up the racing. 3 and 4 pit stops are finally putting some suspense into the game. As for who's the best driver, we had this debate a few days ago. Car or driver, swapping cars etc. in the end we just fell in behind our own favourites. I think Hamilton is one hell of a driver, but is a bit hard on his tyres. But he's a class act. Vettel has matured amazingly well. As stated above, I'm a Redbull fan, but I genuinely think while there might be one or two as good, there none better.

The decent racing is at Leopardstown and Auteuil. But I'll just be watching, if I can. It will be interesting to see if *** can hold off ROP. I'm fascinated by the performances of ROP bearing in mind he's by Giant's Causeway and it will be interesting to see how he fairs over this distance, whilst *** should appreciate the step up in trip. Wouldn't be taking him at those ridiculous odds though.

As I don't have much success I have to point out that my Bismarck duly got sunk at 11/10on <cracker>

The 2yo that I put up on Thursday for yesterday's race got knocked about and ran well in the circumstances so I will stick with him next time out.

I like Zoffany in the same race, but wouldn't be surprised to see Finicius zt 16-1 run some sort of race.

Tamerlo you were spot on with your 'Webber outdoing Vettel for fastest lap' observation, which scuppered my value bet <doh>....Cracking race, Vettel is certainly a worthy champion Tam and Hamilton was much too reckless today, as you imply he cast a very frustrating image yesterday which can be his undoing...Would Vettel have held on those worn tires for the remaining last 6 laps? I reckon he would have, he has become a very astute defensive driver as demonstrated the last 2 weekends. Title signed sealed and delivered.

F & G away at 30-100...Good luck anyone on at that price!

F & G done the bus albeit unimpressively, well done Islander the pay out's the same whether it's 1/2 length or 10 lengths!

Tamerlo regarding Monaco I think it does still very much warrant a place on the calendar and is a completely different test than any other circuit offers. Yes, it produces processions but with overtaking happening so much more on the other tracks with KERS and DRS (we have seen some monster passing this year already) I don't think it's a bad thing that Monaco is so much more difficult to pass on, though we did see a few moves today.

As I'm such an honest chap I must point out Cyclonic that I don't warrant my cracker as my bet lost (as predicted by Tamerlo above)
