This manager is a ****ing dinosaur, a horrible hoofball merchant of the most disgusting variety. Its not even like he has that much to do with him having about 10% input at the club anyway. All we ask is that he chooses a decent team and inspire them occasionally with leadership skills and tactical ability and he can't even do that. His luck has ran out a long time ago and I was really hoping we would have got over the line and sacked the useless ****er but we haven't. He will carry on playing his favs with 'jobs for the boys mentality' next season with more insepid **** from Tiote, Jonas, Shola, etc

I'm sorry to be a moaning bastard but I'm really not that confident for the next season. If we seriously reinforce the squad then maybe but I can't see that happening.

Well there goes our champions league glory...

I have mixed feelings about this. Yes he was ****e this season, but he was dead good last one. Also, while I was secretly happy at the thought (unrealistic!) of Rafa, I was also terrified at the thought of Hughes (who is now apparently going to Stoke so Pardew staying may have actually saved us).

Hi guys, long time no comment.

On Pardew, that guy makes my blood boil so much I felt I had to contribute.

I personally believe it takes an idiot not to be able to get the best out of these players at his disposal. In a similar position to Hughton, he'd taken us as far as possible and Pardew, I believe, has taken us as far as he can and back again. 16th position is a disgrace, considering it was his expectations to challenge for the top four.

People bang on about stability. I'm all for it but only with the right man. What's more stable, sacking now? Or sacking 10 games in? To me, it's inevitable that he'll fail. I'd love it if he proved me wrong but his mistakes last year were so damn obvious that its a crime not to recognise them straight away. We could see it, yet the man who is paid to realise it, couldn't.

A minimum top 10 finish. We were close this year, if it happens next year in a similar fashion, is it considered acceptable?

His clear ineptitude to realising his mistakes and producing an actual game plan that may compete tells me that we must change. But the fact that they will never admit a mistake by sacking him, disappoints me greatly. The lack of ambition is astonishing.

    It's good to be back.

Anyone note Pards at the Monaco fashion show looking happy and rather dashing? What a guy.

I'm afraid he's got to win me back around, didn't seem to give a **** when we lost to Sunderland 3-0 or Liverpool 6-0. A team like Newcastle shouldn't be in the bottom 5 of the league.

Personally I'm glad he's staying. Deep down we all know had he been sacked no-one of note would have been brought in to replace him. It'd have been another manager who'd been out of work for a while and would have jumped at the chance to manage the biggest club they'll ever manage....i.e. another Pardew!

I understand the football has been bad this season, but not being supportive of the manager and his team won't help improve things, only crank up the pressure. The team looked afraid to me, as did Pardew, particularly at St James' Park....once it became clear we weren't gonna reach last season's heights you could see confidence drop out the team and it became more an exercise in not losing games rather than going out and winning. So to me, saying target the top 10 releases some of the pressure as it's easily do-able, and maybe the team and manager can get back to basics with a clean slate and play more like we did in our 5th place season. Overly optimistic? Maybe, but showing pessimism at games etc won't help.

We're deluded Newcastle fans, let's act like it

Personally wouldn't have minded Poyet as manager.

If this is what we are stuck with I'll get behind him. Changes need to be made next season though. That starts with Ashley. It is essential we get the players we need in early. The failure to invest last season was a big mistake. Pardew needs to pull his finger out of his ass and start managing that team also. We looked lazy last year. Someone needs to get excited about finding the best tactics to beat teams, get the players up for it and go out there prepared. Not start with one plan. Freak out when it doesnt work an just punt it from one end to another. I am not sure Pardew is capable though.

There have already been quotes that negotiations for players will not begin until Pardew (and no doubt Ashley, Llambias, Carr, Charnley etc) are back from their holidays. If Fulham and Norwich can get the ball rolling immediately then we have no excuse not to do so - especially when we are in such desperate need in some positions.
