Hello all, I'm a long-time reader of this forum and have decided to take the plunge and register, so please bare with me as I'm new. Basically, I'm on the look out for some tips / guaranteed winners (if there's such a thing) for tomorrow's racing at York as I'm down there on my pal's Stag-Do and would greatly appreciate any help the forum can give me... Many thanks, Stew-H-SAFC
There’s been a change of going since the runners were declared, mid-morn yesterday, so don’t rule out (a) plenty of non-runners and (b) a few shocks as a result. If you can make loot on that card then you’ve done jolly well in my humble opinion. No strong advice but Kyllachy Rise who ran in the Guineas last time out ought to oblige with plenty to spare in the 3YO maiden (4.35) and Bogart has fallen down the weights of late and doesn’t look too harshly treated at all, off 99, in the big handicap (2.55). Furthermore, is a course winner, attractively priced at 20/1 and is ridden by the lovely, and I do mean lovely, Amy Ryan.
Good stuff SBC, cheers. It does look a tricky card from a betting perspective, that's why I started this thread as you guys know a hell of a lot more than I do!
Good luck Stew... I wont tip owt up as im rubbish, but have a good one all the same... Though if pushed i would go for Judge n Jury in the 2.55 as one of my picks...
Cheers redcgull, I'll need all the luck I can get! Should be a cracking day regardless, but it would be nice to top the beer fund up with some winners.
Our Jonathon in the 1st- had a good 3rd on his 1st run of the season in the doncaster cup then not so good next time out- but can forgive that- if back on song can show his class and out pace the rest of this field! Good Luck
That does look a very tricky card. I like Jallota in the 15.30 but the booking of Moore for Royal Mezyan is a concern, given the strike rate with the trainer's 2yos. If they are decent enough prices maybe a dutching bet on the two. PS If Wentworth doesn't win today I would ignore anything I say.
Songcraft in the second race too ( A De Sousa double maybe in the card)- Golddophin sent out Calvaryman to win this race last year and he holds the best form of the field and should have too much for the field wich include a couple of jumpers!
you could do worse than Pintrada in the 4 00 --got the jock on who knows the hoss--won't mind which way the groundgoes--at 16/1 is a great e/w bet. Sunnybridge Boy in the amateurs race has the best jockey. good luck whatever...
Welcome to the forum Stew, and good luck tomorrow. As Sir Barney has said it's a tough card and if you can show a profit tomorrow you will be doing well. Three to throw in from myself for your consideration. 2.55 Duke of Firenze NAP 3.30 Royal Mezyen 5.10 Maven
With the benefit of hindsight I can't see how I could have made a case for Piscean (other than Buick on board for the first time)
