A very good morning to y'all,

Noel Hunt is close to a move to Elland Road, according to the Sun. The 30 yo forward has been with the Royals for the last 5 years but was limited to 23 Premiership appearances last season scoring just two goals. Surely we need a hitman that can bang in 20 - 25 goals a season...

It has not been great for the Hunt family. Not only was Noel relegated with the Royals, but his brother Stephen has just been relegated with Wolves....

Do you think Reading would want to keep hold of Hunt if they could? We'll both be playing in the Championship this coming season, or is he surplus to requirements?

What is everyones opinion on Hunt? Maybe we'll buy his brother too!!! We did in the 90's when we signed Rod and Ray Wallace....

The Daily Star are reporting that Sam Byram will turn down Man City, Arsenal etc and pledge his future to Leeds Utd. Unfortunately in the past that has not been enough. The first club to offer over 5m, his bags will be packed for him....

What are you most proud of about your club, and why?

How are we getting on with tweeting NOT606 links?

Morning Elland. I've no idea what Noel Hunt is like but if McD wants him, that's good enough for me. As for Byram, I'm already fed up with the headlines. He's already gone in my book and it's going to be a setback for fans and manager. Likely scenario 2m plus some player swop crap and just like the Becchio farce, would be hailed by many as a great deal.
Would love to hear some noise from our owners stating McDermott will be backed financially and there will be no sale of Byram, but not likely we'll hear either of those two things

    Morning Eire,

Imagine he went to Norwich for a straight swap for Becchio....

Funny thing is, I wouldn't put it past the hiarachy.

Morning all, I would take hunt as a first signing, might not be the world beater we all want, but a good chamiinship player and given our circumstances not bad really, im sure BMCD will get the best out of him, there are a couple of others as well such as Carlton Cole who would be a good freebie depending on wages, as long as some more dross leave us as well.

Morning all ... McD has already quoted Byram as £8m so doubt £2m would be accepted, expect probably £5m plus add ons. For me the sale of Byram will determine what signings will look like, expect McD will have a list for existing budget and a list for Byram sale money. Noel Hunt is a hard bugger, plays more as a link man than out and out striker, and McD will be signing players with a great work ethic which is what we need. He knows what he wants and some signings may surprise us, but I believe in McD, with Colin it was hope rather than belief in the clown.

Morning all - I have to agree, we need a prolific goal scorer but if the money isn't there I guess we work our way down the ladder to the affordable. I much prefer the Billy Sharp rumour, I must admit, I am waiting to blow a fuse with it all just like last season and the one before that. At this very moment in time I really am having a problem seeing a difference between bates and GFH - Bates refused to invest and sold the best we had pocketing the money and GFH just don't seem to have the funds and are looking over their shoulder at having to appease the shareholders.

If we let Byram go I will be annoyed! If we let him go and sign Eric Lichaj on free then in my eyes this will be great business...

Lichaj has just been released by Villa

Can we not just sign Lichaj and keep Byram? That would be the best scenario all round, Byram for RB/RM, Lichaj RB/LB, Peltier RB/CB - would be great cover within the squad.

As for Kevin Doyle, I fail to see why people keep raving on about him, he's seriously overrated and wouldn't warrant the high wages he'd undoubtedly command.
I'd rather Poleon be given an extended run in the team than bring in another low scoring journeyman like Doyle.
