if Deano's goal had been by Henry, Rooney or any other high profile player at a high profile club, TV pundits everywhere would still be banging on about the technique and timing of the strike :D

To be fair, they still do.

This was the goal that inspired me to start supporting the Tigers.

Same here, and considering I used to be Chelsea's number one fan, shows how remarkable a goal it was.

One of our best ever goals, to deliver the unthinkable. By a Hull lad, does it get any better?

When Deano hit it i thought he'd screwed it wide and missed !!!.. Then chaos ensued and all was good... to top it off a guy on our coach got Deano's boots..it was treated like a Holy Relic and i'm sure it made a man in a wheelchair walk again..oh and just to top it off the coach driver was a L****s fan...oh the banter....great day...cheers Deano

Goal always reminds me of Elbow.

It was quality in the flesh, but plays well with Beautiful Day played alongside it - at least thats the way I've reminisced since (via that you tube vid)

Most still do actually. Everytime Hull City are mentioned Deano's goal is not that far away. One of the best ever strikes seen at Wembley. Well the New Wembley at least.

I had a very confident feeling that day. I was right.

Whereas, on the 4th May this year I had a feeling of impending doom. I was wrong.

Just shows you can't trust your instinct.....

What a load of bollocks this post is ......

I was drunk by the time Deano did that.

My memory of the game is hazy at best.

I fell asleep on the tube later on and was cruelly abused by my 'friends' whilst defenceless.

I got lost in the station at Leicester Square too.

    Fun day.
