I dont want him here either, but there is a definite overreaction from some. He is certainly better than some of our existing plaers, simple as.
As only Paul McShane has played in the Prem in that position, I assume you mean him, and I'm not convinced you can say Bramble is better. Either way he Bramble would not be of a standard necessary to be the experienced mainstay of our defence, if we want to survive next season.
Can I also say I don't want him at Hull. I'm certain he is a very nice man who has numerous qualities which makes him a pleasure to have as a friend, and is a good husband and father, probably does some good charity work and is a good example to younger footballers (unlike some players in the game over the past few years), but he simply does not inspire faith in my eyes (and yes I know I am not a manager in the top division, and numerous managers have signed and played him who know about football)
He was arrested with his brother on suspicion of rape in 2010, his brother got sent down, but he was released without charge. In 2011, he was arrested for sexual assault and possession of a Class A drug, but he was found not guilty(but got fined by Sunderland for bringing the club into disrepute). I don't think he's that nice a bloke.
