    I think Shearer would be everyone's choice

    My other option is Laurent Robert. Deadly on his day, and he could actually do a ****ing set-piece...

    I'd get Beardo and make 10 clones of him.

    Might find room for (an at his peak) Shearer in the starting 11, with one of the Beardo clones starting on the bench

    For older full backs try Nattrass and Kennedy. They were the best pair of full backs I can recall ever seeing at the Toon.

    Mind you Frank Clark and David Craig were also top drawer, it's a pity we didn't have full backs of their quality now.
