of next years EPL. We will receive more TV income than this years winner . So Man Utd raked in £60m last season and this years bottom club will top that. See link below. Amazing . Thnik i'll try and purchase a bit of HCAFC , the reward is there. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22610584
Why do you think that everyone wants to be in the PL ? The money from august is off the scale now and even for relegation.
They don't even know how much it will be yet because there are a shed load of Far East stations that they haven't even agreed contracts for yet. So finishing bottom guarantees £120 at least. Get building that academy and training ground!
The allams said we would be lucky to break even next year so do not expect anything to go to the academy or training ground unless we stay up. I can not find the article but he broke down the 120 million into each year we would get it. Saying that the only real figure was the income we would get next year and that money was already spoken for in planned spending on transfers etc. The rest of the 120 million would be used to cushion the fall if we were relegated. He said that only if we stayed up would we make a profit and be able to spend money on things other than transfers and salaries.
We will make a loss, next year and the year after even if we stay up, in fact I doubt that we will make a tax profit for at least four years.
It could end up that way. The reason he said there was a chance, was that if we stayed up in theory we would not need to spend the same money on transfers in year 2 as we did in year 1 as the squad would contain more PL quality players going into the 2nd year. But the idea that the academy or training facilities are going to get a ton of cash to spend any time soon seems to be quite incorrect.
Absolutely correct. There's two ways of doing this, write next season off and go back down with little expenditure and build the infrastructure, or give the investment a year and budget to have a go at staying up, because the biggest spend will be in the first year, subsequent years should be relatively less.
Good call. Long hours for scant or little reward....................................................................
£63m for finishing botton but haven't the Allams already stated that we have already 'spent' £16m of that on losses/bonuses for promotion this season, whilst the wage bill will almost certainly double from the current £20m to about £40m in the PL. So a hefty chunk gone already. Got to be better though than the miserly amounts on offer (£3m?) to NPC Clubs.
I would imagine our transfer fee budget will be around £15-20m WOW! Don't believe how blasé that came over like!
I agree hope we don't go for him. Didn't Bruce say he wanted young fresh players and Kevin Davies isn't that.
And to think that had Watford scored against L**ds after our game had finished we would have struggled, with the impending FFP rules. to compete as well again next season in the NPC even with the Allams in charge..
True. But we had already worked extremely hard to **** everything up to get into that situation in the previous 3 games!!!
Don't remind me - drawing against a poor Bristol City side and then losing at Oakwell - a horrible day that almost shafted my week in Spain before returning for the Cardiff game.. that said deserved to beat the taffes that day by at least the 2-1 scoreline..the 16mins waiting for the Watford result (or at least most of this time till L**ds scored) was amongst the worst moments of my life.. To throw away the chance of promotion and the money now at stake would have been a bitter bitter pill to swallow because I'm sure we wouldn't have won the playoffs..
