Just a random thought i just had. After reading the local rag on how they are a step closer with the deal to bring Siemens to Hull, I just thought how good it would be to have a company that is providing a much needed boost in employment to the local area to be the shirt sponsor for the tigers. Must be a better option the Cash Converters.
After the ****-on-the-changing-room-floor escapade, surely Brighton's next sponsor would be Andrex. Would serve a dual purpose
Yes for the money and the fact it is a huge company which would show that Hull aren't just a small town (yes I know we are a city) club who don't belong with the big boys. Could we put up with the schoolboy humour of opposition fans week in week out?
Are you kidding? Siemens coupled with the "Mauled by the Tigers" chant and gestures could make us the new Brighton! Awesome!
I would love Virgin to sponsor the Tigers in some way if that were at all possible. Cheap train and air fares for all away matches would be a nice start ?
If we're waiting for Siemens, we bed a sponsor for at least another 5 years in the meantime then as they won't be here anytime soon, regardless of the rubbish in the local rag
Another positive poster - the so called 'rubbish in the local rag' refers to the designation of land between Hedon & Paull for the potential supply industries to Siemens by ERYC Planning, no more no less ffs..
In a way, it would be brilliant to have a sponsor that entices them to create employment opportunities within the City of Hull, but from an opposition fan's perspective, having the word, Siemens on your shirt, is too easy to pick out. "You can't say anything, your sponsored by sperm!" Would be the reoccurring trend.
Did I say today's news? Nothing will happen on Siemens this year. Siemens has the potential to be huge, but the sooner people get their head out their arse and realise there are big things happening in and around the area that have nothing to do with something which isn't guaranteed to happen the better. Hence the original comment that if we're waiting for Siemens to turn up and sponsor us, we'll be waiting a while Dickhead
It doesn't really mean anything outside Hull, so no real commercial value. What do they call themselves? A 'Wound Management' company, so if they did have a change of heart we could always just have 'Gash' across the shirts
