Rain finally stopped, Sri Lanka have won the toss and will put England into the field first. Looks set to be a cracking match now! Finn is sitting out, Tremlett in instead. Early wickets won't go a miss here.

Raining again am afraid, I think Sri Lanka will be skittled for 180 here.

edit 76 for 0 not looking very likely now.

Considering the weather conditions, AS will probably have considered this a decent toss to lose. Hopefully we can get some play today with a bit of moisture in the wicket. Should swing like a pendulum.

Play to start at 15:30 BST (weather permitting) and 48 overs are to be bowled in the day. Tea will be taken at 16:40.

If Anderson and Tremlett can get it right we could have carnage in the first mini session - or is that just wishful thinking?

Picking Morgan ahead of Bopara has cost us this match and maybe the series. One quick hobbles off, other two quicks are knackered, who do we have to turn to? Jonathan Trott.

I can't help but feel missing out on Tim Bresnan really doesn't help, but this match looks destined for a draw even without any rain, don't think either side has looked like they could bowl out the other twice and I agree Bopara definatley would have been a better option than Morgan, but then that double century in the Lions game must have tipped the selection in Morgan's favour.

Somewhat ironic that due to picking a player who can score quickly, we have been forced to score at less than 3 an over and play for the draw. Congrats to Cook on his 100.

Looks like by the time England have got a lead worth bowling at, Sri Lanka will only have to bat out one or two sessions... who's idea to hold a test in Wales? <doh>

Bopara is average and has 1 good game in a blue moon.

There is still a result in this game if they can get a couple of sessions in today. I assume that England will have a real go with the bat today and then hope that three bowlers can give them a sniff. Obviously the draw is the likely outcome but england cannot lose.

England don't seemed to of had a real go in all honesty, lots of runs, but by the time they have 140 odd to bowl at, even without any rain, they'll have 2 and a half sessions max to bowl out Sri Lanka with 3 bowlers and a good batting pitch.
