http://www1.skysports.com/football/...eumerci-Mbokani-reveals-Premier-League-desire Congolese striker Dieumerci Mbokani has revealed that he intends to secure a move away from Anderlecht in the summer, with the Premier League his preferred destination. The 27-year-old has scored 17 goals for the Belgian champions this season, which has attracted interest from all over Europe. However, if he was given the choice, the former Monaco forward admitted that it would be England he would chose to ply his trade in. "I am very happy to leave the club on a good note, now I need to think about my next move," Mbokani said. "England will be my first choice, but Italy also." West Brom have been touted as potential suitors as they seek to replace the outgoing Romelu Lukaku up front, with Aston Villa, Everton, Sunderland and even Liverpool reportedly keen on securing the services of the African hitman. But Mbokani insists nothing is done yet, and will keep his options open for when the summer transfer window opens. "I will soon be there to have a talk with the club," he added. "I heard about the interest of Liverpool, but nothing is concrete so far, it is paper talk."
Hi all, Could i just borrow a minute of your time again? Just doing a 'ask the opposition' transfer edition for an Arsenal website. If possible could you answer these questions? What area/s of weakness do Arsenal have on the pitch? What player/s would improve that weakness? Jovetic or Higuain? Julio Cesar or Szczesney? What player would you buy from Arsenal and why? Anyone willing to give it a go could you please PM the answers, cheers much appreciated, Nick
PAOLO Di Canio has given an insight into the mechanics which will govern Sunderland’s work in the transfer market this summer. And he insists he is happy with the new arrangements which will see him working in tandem with owner Ellis Short and a new director of football. Milan-based Roberto Di Fanti is expected to give up his work as a football agent in order to be able to take up the new role. And his appointment is expected to be confirmed by Sunderland in the near future. Di Canio, meanwhile, says he is comfortable with an arrangement which will see much of the legwork removed from him in terms of finding players, but will still leave him with the final say on which new players arrives at the Stadium of Light this summer. “I know that the club has a plan,” he said. “And the picture is clear before me of how it will work. “I am head coach, the others have to handle the financial situation. “I have said to them we need this type of player, this type of quality, in this position or that position. “So show me the players we can go and get and I will tell them ‘yes, this player is OK’, or ‘no this player is not’. Di Canio and owner Ellis Short have already held provisional talks about which path the club wants to go down this summer when it comes to bringing in new players. And the indications are that it will adopt a business model not dissimilar to the one used by several leading European clubs and also the likes of Newcastle United – of bringing in good, young players at low cost and developing them.
BUNDESLIGA outfit Augsburg will have to pay around £2.5million if they want to land Sunderland striker Ji Dong-won on a permanent deal. The South Korean hitman has proved a pivotal figure for the Bavarian outfit since moving to Germany on loan in the January transfer window. Despite being used in central midfield or out wide, Ji netted five goals in 17 appearances, including the third in Saturday’s 3-1 final day victory over Greuther Furth, which clinched Augsburg’s survival in the top flight. A clause was inserted into the loan deal to make it permanent when Ji (right) first joined Augsburg, but the cash-strapped club will have to shell out £2.5m to activate it. That will reimburse the figure of around £2m Sunderland paid to bring Ji to the Stadium of Light two years ago. Although Augsburg officials are keeping their counsel on their hopes of keeping Ji, it was always thought they would make a move for the 21-year-old if they avoided relegation and that remains the likeliest scenario. It was Martin O’Neill who sanctioned Ji’s loan exit, rather than Paolo Di Canio, after the former Chunnam Dragons frontman failed to make a first-team appearance for Sunderland this season. But Di Canio is keen to land a new frontman after seeing Sunderland struggle in the absence of Steven Fletcher. The Italian was frustrated with the performances of Danny Graham and Connor Wickham in Sunday’s final day defeat at Spurs and has publicly confirmed he wants to have five strikers at his disposal next season. By allowing Ji to depart, it would release funds for fresh faces and free up space on the wage bill, with Sunderland mindful of the regulations of both Football Fair Play and the Premier League’s own restrictions on the use of the income from the new television deal.
All of the above please..... We should also be looking in Spain as half of the players never get paid so would jump ship as quick as a horse leaving Newcastle.

http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport...ed-with-auxerre-midfielder-mandjeck-1-5711429 SUNDERLAND are said to be interested in Auxerre’s Cameroon international midfielder Georges Mandjeck. The 24-year-old, who started his career in Germany, is attracting interest from that country again, but the lure of the Premier League could hold sway – according to Sky Sports. Mandjeck has 19 caps. He joined Auxerre last year after two years with Rennes. He started off with Stuttgart and had two loan spells with Kaiserslautern. Mandjeck is a powerful presence and could help beef up Sunderland’s midfield.
CELTIC look set to revive their interest in Sunderland winger James McClean. The £2million-rated Republic of Ireland international, 24, is believed to be one of the players new manager Paolo Di Canio is willing to let go. McClean was a target for Bhoys boss Neil Lennon two years ago. But the Celtic chief missed out as McClean moved to Sunderland from Derry City in a £350,000 deal in August 2011. And Lennon may tempt Di Canio with an offer for Celtic fan McClean, who has a contract at the Stadium of Light until the summer of 2015. Meanwhile, Hull boss Steve Bruce could make a move for Sunderland’s Phil Bardsley after Di Canio said he would not play for the club again.
Hurray, get the ****ing flags out. Good old Celtic, £1.8m for that plank Murphy & £2m for Willie One Foot. Gotta love the Celts. At least he wont have to learn the words to Fields of Anthenry.
http://www.rokerreport.com/2013/5/26/4366666/the-gossip-defenders-dominate-sunderland-summer-agenda The season is finally over (yay) and since we are mostly done with analysing it and the subsequent weeping that inevitably follows, it is time to look to the future and bring back our Gossip feature. Every week until the end of the transfer window, we will round up the transfer rumours for you and keep track of the latest chatter. We won't mention just any old talk when the club has been mentioned in passing, however. It needs to be a persistent and at least somewhat credible link. There will be no (further) mentions of Edinson Cavani here, for example. So let's begin with the list of names the world's media are linking with a move to Wearside this summer. Valentin Roberge (Maritimo) Mobido Diakite (Lazio) Diogo Viana (F.C. Penafiel) Danny Rose (Tottenham) Emmanuel Cascione (Pescara) Danilo D'Ambrosio (Torino) El Hadji Ba (Le Havre) Mauro Zarate (Lazio) Bas Dost (Wolfsburg) George Mandjeck (Auxerre) Charlie Austin (Burnley) Alfred Finnbogason (SC Heerenveen) Greg Sandomierski (Genk) Tom Allan (York City) Salif Sane (Nancy) To get the formalities out of the way first, that is a whopping 15 names to start us off. The most instantly noticeable thing is the amount of foreign and rather obscure players on the list. You wouldn't hear many of those names without heading straight over to Wikipedia. That is a huge change from last year when you would feel perfectly safe betting your puppy's life that Martin O'Neill would be shopping domestically. Whether that represents a genuine shift in policy for the club or whether it is simply the product of a press who don't know what to expect remains to be seen, but you'd fancy the influence of Roberto De Fanti - Sunderland's Director of Football in waiting - is heavily at play here. The next thin you notice is that many of the players on the list, such as Diakite, Roberge, Viana, and D'Ambrosio, are out of contract this summer and would be available on free transfers, which is surely not a coincidence. Considering the amount of work that needs to be done on a threadbare and generally poor squad, taking advantage of the Bosman market will be a must for the club this summer. The amount of defenders on the list is no surprise either. With Titus Bramble and Matthew Kilgallon half way out the door as their contracts expire, Danny Rose back at Tottenham, Phil Bardsley feeling the full force of Paolo's fury, and Wes Brown being Wes Brown, that essentially just leaves two senior defenders at the club, and one of those is Carlos Cuellar. So defenders being linked in droves is something we can certainly expect to be a recurring theme of the summer. One slight disappointment so far is that there has been no real pedigree central midfield players linked yet. Whilst the importance of value must be appreciated, that is one position you feel the club can't really afford to be cheapskates over. Anyway, consider the feature reintroduced for the summer and yourselves 'caught-up'. We'll go into more details with the various reports as they emerge and develop. In the meantime, be sure to bookmark our transfers centre to keep bang up to date with the Sunderland summer transfer news.
According to Sky Sports Paper Talk we are after... The Sun Matt Ritchie - former left winger for Swindon who was sold behind PDC's back - undisclosed fee Daily Mirror Jay Spearing - sh*t version of cattermole - £3 mill
Fortunately Roberge and Diakhite looks done Colback and Gardner will be used i believe as full backs Danny Rose will hopefully be coming back to us Leaves you with need of a RB Midfield i can only see a replacement for McClean coming in... possibly Malouda Forwards i will have that Fingabooson (or whatever it is) purely for his name and what Van Bommel said about him Apart from that it would have to be a cheap short term option Possibly Odemwingie/Arshavin or a loan
