Even when a national newspaper printed a picture of Bardsley lying about a casino floor in the early hours of the morning? How would you keep that "in house"? Bardsley is a disgrace who trained hard pre-season when he knew he was about to have his contract terminated followed by one good season. Now he does this! Get him out now!
Pay them and tell them not to bother turning up for training. In other words alienate them so that no other club will touch them.
Now that the ball is rolling there is only one line that can be taken, the hard line. If certain players are not able to comply, they can **** off out of our club and I'm sure Di Canio will ensure that is exactly what occurs.
Well that's gonna do some ****ing good isn't it? Especially when we need as much as we can get in from them. Who the **** do you think we are, Manchester ****ing City? Never heard so much crap in all my life.
How much money do you believe we are likely to lose? Before the drama, and I for one am thoroughly enjoying the drama, we could only hope to sell Bardsley and Killgallon for a combined total of about 1.5 million. If we sell them two nuggets for 750 k, the potential loss is nothing when compared to the new TV money.
I wonder whether Ellis has been behind all of this? After all, it was his decision to appoint PDC. Maybe he's realised that the malaise in the squad was something that had to be dealt with differently. Maybe he's handed Paolo the big stick and said "start swinging"
i'm pretty sure he's given him a solid baseball bat to do the business. otherwise he'd have pulled rank on him by now. as many others have said, he called the line and a couple of idiots crossed it very publicly. they're now dangling by the rope they hung thelseves out to dry with. **** em. killa was out anyway, only Bardsley has a year to run...so sell-on value is **** all to lose sleep over. a sad, useless bardsley acting as water boy may be all the deterrent/incentive younger players need to see if the wrong attitude is adopted....and it's about time too. i know this hard line stuff may seem like a bit of Keano, but PDC strikes me as being a bit more cute than that, and can put an arm around the shoulder/encourage when needs be. keano had no carrots on offer. nor did he really live and breath the club, which PDC is clearly willing to do. bring it on.....
Well if it's crap your'e the man to identify it. No lets play them and pay them another £1.5m a season to see if they will accept. Then we can sack Di Canio. OK?
These players want to man the **** up and do what they are paid disgusting amounts of money to do. If some of the precious dears get their knickers in a twist having to follow rules and work hard, like normal decent hard working folk, they can **** right off!!!! How many times do we see managers, the FA and PFA defending the indefensible and "protecting" their players? They have created this bubble around a lot of players who think they are special and untouchable! well the bubble needs to be burst for football to regain its dignity! Go on Paulo lead the way.
Think about it this way, Lord sugar has 500 million and look at how harsh he is in business, he does not suffer fools lightly, so imagine what Ellis is like with his 4000 million. In business someone like Bardsley would have been out the door on Monday morning. There are lots of footballers out there with Bardsleys talent he can easily be replaced and when your worth 4000 million as Short is its not a big problem. Wait and see lads, I think Short is much smarter than he is being given credit for, I can see a big shake up. Remember its not about profit and loss its about how much Sunderland is worth at the end of this project as a saleable business. With Lazy players who are happy finishing 4th bottom every year its not worth very much. Trust me Ellis is a smart guy I think he knew exactly what was going on and PDC was the way to solve a big problem.
