This evening about 6pm Microsoft will announce their plans for the next generation Xbox to compete with the PS4. There will also be information from EA about their next generation FIFA game. #XboxReveal
Think I'm going to pass on next gen consoles and return to PC gaming. Will still watch and see what they have to reveal though.
It might be announced on here but I'll have to wait at least two years before I can consider getting one (Xbox 720 or PS4) #tooexpensive
I didn't get an Xbox straight away and probably won't get a new console at launch either. As well as the expense there can be issues with the initial hardware that gets worked out in later iterations. The first wave of new games also tends not to push the system to the limits. I am looking forward to GTA5 but this will be current generation anyway. Waiting a couple of years isn't such a bad thing, though I am still interested to follow the development. I also think the current consoles will still be supported for a while yet. Game makers cannot afford to ignore the tens of millions of customers with current generation consoles.
Had that baby for about 7 years before it gave up the ghost last year. Was a sad day. but by that point the slim ones were only about 250 so not too bad. They say the new consoles and games will still be affordable but I am with astro on not getting a game straight/console straight away as there are always a few issues that can ironed out.

I'm with most on here, I'll be sticking with my xbox until the next gen console is a reasonable price.
Same, 360 had been out for two or three years by the time I got one. Had a PS2 for ages but sold it because I never went on it. Took about ten months for me to get something else Only went for Xbox because it was £130 cheaper than PS3
Of the games that look interesting to me, only watchdogs and Batman origins stand out. GTA 5 will be on PS3 as someone mentioned already. FIFA will be with PS3 and Pierre will finally be with Liverpool.
only ever play Fifa so not that fussed. I like Gran Turismo and that is the main reason I miss Playstation
untill my old ps3 goes up in smoke lol! i still have my ps2 and haven't really seen the need to upgrade from that, any games worth playing i play on the pc, and i play mainly strategy games any way and not shooting games, so be just an expensive gimmick for me. haven't seen much dif in racing games compared to the pc graphics as well, although controllers might be slightly better, fps are probably now on par with each other also, providing you have decent graphics,processor,memory etc.
