In all, I think we've done very well considering the economic climate and the dire performances we've been subjected to.

Interesting to note that 3 of the bottom 4 went down. Of course Swansea (and West Brom, Newcastle and us) show that the relationship between crowd size and performance isn't a strong cause-effect one - in either direction.

How comes we average 5 and a half thousand more than Villa, when they are allegedly a bigger club than us, think you got that one wrong Mr Bent. Sorry lads couldn't resist a pop at Judas.

Considering the **** football us and the Mags have had to put up with that's pretty impressive. Also considering that we draw the vast majority from our own city where as most of the others draw theirs nationally if not internationally (how many Sunderland shirts do you see outside of Sunderland compared with Man U, Chelski, Gooners, Citeh,Spuds and even the Mags) makes it even more impressive for us.

2 Sunderland shirts in Surrey, me and my lad. His last school is right next to Chelsea training ground, so all the kids naturally had all of the Chelsea kit. Apart from my lad who point blank refused to wear anything other than his Sunderland kit, all the kids would laugh at him but he was proud to wear the colours of our club. Not bad considering he was born down here, but supports the lads with pride.

According to the 'empty seats' theory QPR are better supported than us!. I have heard Man city will extend their ground to hold 56,000, and Liverpool are building a new stand in the future. on sky sports if i saw it right Spurs have got a new stadium nearly finished, but it's the first i have heard.

So we both averaged higher attendances this season compared to last season? So it is true.... We are a glutton for punishment. We must be mental :(

some of our lads wee saying we're 8th in Europe apparently.

Consett is about 45%/55% in favour of Toon shirts.. at a guess.

Once again proof that despite our pathetic failings on the park, at least the fans of both NE clubs can be proud of themselves.

Excuse my geography here, but is Chelsea not on the north side of the Thames, and Surrey on the south?

I've nee idea where the training ground is mins so excuse my ignorance.
