Watching Bradford City v Northampton play off final. Bradford's left midfielder, Reid, looks pretty useful although opinion may be distorted by how bad Northampton are. Half time Bradford C 3 - 0 Northampton.

A cardiac virus that is fairly new so there is no way of predicting if it will return or have seriously damaged his health/stamina

As bad as that? In which case perhaps we should leave him at Crawley and look elsewhere for our new Brick ****house.

Kyle McFadzean I can't see too many clubs wanting to gamble on him unless/until he gets a complete medical clearence and/or they get some form of indemnity from Crawley that if he breaks down in the first year the transfer fee is repaid.

I really wish we'd signed Jonathan Spector. He'll be super cheap, and I rate him as one of the best defenders/midfielders in the Championship.

I can't name names, as I really didn't follow L's 1 & 2 after our last promotion, plus it's hard to follow anything below Prem level over here. But what I will say is that I hope we get in fast during this summer and the August transfer window. We KNOW what we need, so I hope the club are being far more pro-active than they have been in the past. Sure, there's less money available, but if there's any free's that look worthwhile right now, let's get them. And when the transfer window opens, get in early for what we still need then. Let's not have another window like a year ago when we looked at Keogh, Anthony Gerrard and other central defenders, farted around cos we thought they were all too expensive, and then couldn't get one at all. The seeds of relegation were sown right there. I hope City already have a list of targets and are pursuing some of them right now.

Oh, and I would also hope that, whatever transfer pot SOD is being given, he'll manage it better than Mcinnes did last year - "Hey, lets spend a couple of million on strikers... is a new central defender or midfielder REALLY that necessary?"

McInnis just couldn't decide which of Baldock and Davies he really wanted so got both then couldn't find a decent CB to sign.

I wonder if we could get away with a cheeky bid for Dale Jennings on loan? He's the kid that got bought by Bayern Munich last season and he's had a torrid time over there with injury and a lack of form. I reckon if Bayern were willing we could get him for a few months, and the experience could be enough to get him starting for their second team.
