Well, we've had a rather poor season that didn't live up to our hopes and expectations, and had some of us discussing whether we'd renew our ST's or not and the truth of the matter is that most of us can't wait for the start of the new season.

Just something that's in the blood, a way of life that most of us can't change.

We're what you would say, "Proud to support Newcastle".

My next door neighbour has for the last 8 years said that he wasn't going to renew his ticket
but still does as the season gets closer
as you say AB it's in the blood

by the way he's 73 years young and still makes it to the day or night games

Not so many years ago there was an old chap (must have been close on 100) sat on the end of the row that I sit in and he just sat there with a smile on his face not saying a word, he just loved the atmosphere.

Don't think Obi loved the atmosphere.

Even with the cash he was being paid.

Come to think of it I haven't seen Obi for a while.

Mick must have given him a bonus and he's gone off on a luxury holiday somewhere.

I think that guy was Stevie
KK and Terry Mac took him too their hearts and was often seen near the dugouts in his later years

Afraid I don't know what his name was.

Can't remember seeing anybody ever talking to him or if he was able to hold a conversation, he did seem happy though, just sitting and enjoying the atmosphere.

Somebody must have brought him to the ground and picked him up again after the game.

I will renew mine there was never any question of me not. I may grumble about the 250 mile round trip but I will still make it in foul or calm weather. That's what being a football supporter is all about.

I can slag off my team but being surrounding by none Toonies no one else is allowed to I have made that very plain from the start.

One home fixture against 'ULL next season and I can even walk to the ground. :1980_boogie_down:

Couldn't be the guy in question HDQ, the guy I'm talking about was too weak to stand and was much older than that.

Considering that the photo must be about 20 years ago
I would dare say he would be a lot weaker and look a lot older than the pic <laugh>

    Stevie was a character,
I'm positive he sat in the Gallowgate End, near the front

Maybe with 20 years on it could have been him, it was the lower level Gallowgate End where he sat.

That isn't you beside him is it HDQ?

We're playing in the Premier League so I guess the bodies will keep flowing through the doors...

Mike Ashley would see it as 'fish in a barrel' - who's to say he isn't right.

The utter tripe that has been served up this season is nothing short of disgraceful.
The cost of attending the beloved Newcastle United matches is pretty steep for the average person and frankly I feel anybody attending this season must feel utterly cheated.

Major changes are needed and we all know what those should be. <ok>
