Very good today, after Hoolahan and Howson for best player of the day!

I thought Snodders was also brilliant today. Much of a muchness between those four.

Ryan Bennett showed some consistent form as well. There's a lot about Citeh being on holiday, but we were without our first choice centre back pairing too.

Just so nice to see them play with the shackles off.
Today was the NCFC of Stringer, Brown and even Mike Walker.

Fearless, penetrating football - against possibly the most expensively assembled team in the land...what more can I say? <ok>

Ryan Bennett has been immense since coming on against reading. He's going to be pushing the first team next season. Holt was great today doing all the things we expect him too, was good to see.

I really thought Holt had lost it but the last two games have seen him return to his earlier form. His article about the style change hampering his performances coincided with a reversion to the old style and he has thrived on it.
What his future is we don't know but he has changed my mind about his usefulness to the side.

If Sunday was his last game for us then at least he will have left on a high. Personally I'd keep hold of him as I think he is worth a lot more to us than we could raise from selling him but a lot will depend on how he sees his future. Is he happy to fight for a place against the Wolf (assuming that we don't go two up top) and any other new forward or would he rather drop a level and become a legend at another club?

It was speculated in the press that Hughton wants him here next season, do you all think that the fallout last summer was really about contracts or was there another reason? There was the rumours of him clashing with Calderwood at forest,

Holt has certainly made me think again, he has been a different player, the one we had playing for us for the previous 3 seasons and nowhere near as petulant as was a few weeks ago, which I will put down to his frustration <ok>

    Agree Thai 100%.

Holt was like a petulant schoolboy, wanting to take on the world, and was lucky
to not get red carded in 2 games.

I think it shows,if he can control his frustrations,he is worth keeping.
RVW has to prove his worth yet.

Even Birtles was speculating yesterday. He mentioned the family move etc. Now we are in the Prem, every matter at each club is highlighted, dissected and opinions sought from pundits. Holt has been the predominant news figure at our club on the playing side. He does court publicity so he can't complain if they question him. And with the league season at an end, the media will seize on any snippet.

Never doubted him or his commitment, passion and leadership for a moment. All that was needed was for the midfield to be released and attack. The last 3/4 games has seen a different Howson, a confident attacking midfielder, goal scorer as well!! That has been the main difference! Those of us that go to the games every week will know how hard Grant Holt has worked for the team this season, he's had very little service and a really difficult roll to play. The people who say he's over weight and past it are so wrong, there's 2 more years in Grant Holt and I want him to spend those two years at Norwich!
