That's right. He was only "the people' s" next England manager and great man-manager. He only had twice as many games as Hughes to get it right and a transfer window to bring in his own players. Now all he wants is to replace the lot of them. Except of course, Bobby Zamora because of his immense contribution for 45 minutes per game. Sorry mate. I'm not in the mood to be an apologist for Harry. He needs no help in the school of excuse making.

Since he's been manager he has managed to destroy what little was left of our team spirit and fragile confidence by constantly slagging the team off. The players make the mistakes on the pitch for sure but team selection, tactics and the basics of coaching by an army of apparently successful back up team?? That's what you pay the manager for.

    pretty similar all told.

Hughes points per game was 0.77
    Redknapps is 0.84

but the winner, on 0.87 is....

    Warnock.

But yeah, all three are relegation form sadly.

'Arry seemed to stem the goal bleeding for a couple of months after he took over from Hughes, when we seemed to pick up a bunch of low score or goal-less draws, but not enough 3 pt wins - despite the awful 0-3 Liverpool home game, we responded well beating Chelsea 1-0 and even after our thrashing (again) at Swansea, we responded in early March with the Sunderland home win, then the Southampton away victory, that gave us all so much hope of another "great escape", but everything pretty much went tits up after that with the Villa away loss making us "dead man walking".

I stand as I always have on this
I don't blame Hughes and in time I am certain this boards opinion on him will become weaker and more in line with what he was ... Professional but maybe dull . The entire focus has been put to the players and currently a few are taking the full blame

Anyone knows that this squad is full of talent and Bosingwa still has good football in him as they all do

Harold has protected himself on this one and is in breach of what he is in fact employed to do ... Manage a team

The club because of Harold is completely ruined ... A squad of talented players that are not a team

I would fix this by getting in a new man
But this stupid country sucks up in the media to this idiot character called Harry ... It's a myth that he can even manage IMO

This thread has a lot of Anglo Saxon crap in it IMO ... Get in a foreign coach who understands today's game but that won't happen ... Someone's ego needs feeding first .

Philip Beard should make these disciplines an implied term of the contract - then manage the contract based on any breach. Thereafter the club should seek to create and share a culture based on agreed values and vision 'the way we do things round here'.

It strikes me that there's no implied culture and too many careless individuals.

I recall seeing a photo that Joey Barton tweeted in Spring last year - a group of about 6-8 players all going for a stroll for a meal during one of the international breaks. There was Joey Barton, Jamie Mackie, Bradley Orr, Shaun Derry, Clint Hill, Adel Taarabt, Tommy Smith, Heidar Helgusson, might of even been Paddy Kenny too if my memory serves me right.

The think that sticks with me is that they were the core group that set the 'culture'.

Contrast that with Djibril Cissé, José Bosingwa, etc.

So my advice to Harry and Philip would be to do the culture stuff. Think about what kind of team you want. [Why not ask the fans forums??] Then recruit those kind of players. Focus less on absolute ability and past medals and more on the kind of player that will seamlessly bond with the team and reinforce the culture.

Work out those 'floating voters' - the existing ones that can be influenced and return to the fold. Ship out the devils who will poison the culture.

    Simples!

[PS: Tony, Philip, Harry can I have a job - make it performance related - I reckon I could make a real difference and I've got two left feet!]

I can't see Abramovic giving him a contract next year so I expect he will be available.

The problem is, I think Rafa sees himself as a top 4 Premiership Manager so I really can't see him dropping down to a Championship club.

Winning the Europa League means there will be loads of wannabe top 4 clubs chasing him if and when he becomes available.
