from the Beeb: No away team has ever scored more than three goals in a Premier League game at the Etihad Stadium.
Hasn't a big part of the answer to that been provided by the players themselves? I mean they will have learned themselves from the way the second half of the season has gone and the contrast with the first part. A lot of what we've seen/endured latterly has been down to the players' mind set as much as anything else. CH should invite carrabuh in during pre-season to give them a team talk pointing out it would have been so much less nail-biting in the run in if they'd just played with a little more belief. Great way to end the season, heading the lower half of the table. And just look at who ended up below us. Have a good summer guys (no gender differentiation here)
My only (very small) gripe with today's match is that I didn't feel Johnson deserved to come off. He has had an astonishing season and deserved to be there til the end, but I understand why Hughton did it because you just couldn't take Howson off. The future's bright. The future's green and yellow.
Yeah, I can see where you're coming from Rob, and Johnson didn't seem too happy to come of. I think listening to CH post-match, Tettey had been carrying an injury and they just wanted to give him some time to see how it was.
