Just for the Premier League, and justify each with a comment if you can bothered. Mine:

    1) Manchester United - 8 - Won the title easily but disappointing show in other competitions. Interesting to see how things go under new manager.
    2) Manchester City - 5 - Surrendered their league title, flopped in Europe and humiliated in the FA Cup final by Wigan. New manager will change things.
    3) Chelsea - 7 - After harsh sacking of RDM, recovered in the league and bagged the Europa League. Another case of new manager - may they be title contender next season?
    4) Arsenal - 6 - Just about secured Champion's League football, but very little sign of progress.
    5) Tottenham - 6 - Showed progress under AVB but missed out on the Europe big league. I know it is cliché but will Bale stay?
    6) Everton - 7 - Finished above lots of teams with larger means and showed decent consistency. But now Moyes has moved on what next?
    7) Liverpool - 6 - Endured a torrid start to the season, but now it looks as if Rodgers is getting the team set-up and Daniel Sturridge looks a lot better for them than he did at Chelsea and he deserves credit for turnign Jordan Henderson into something resembling a decent footballer. Should be finishing higher next season IMO.
    8) West Brom - 8 - Widely tipped for relegation without Roy, but started the season explosively. Will be disappointed to slip down a bit but essentially, only Everton and the big 6 finished above them so they should be proud.
    9) Swansea - 10 - Also tipped as relegation candidates, but will be playing in Europe and won the League Cup. Also a case of slumping in late season, but what a season for the Swans and they can look forward to playing Cardiff next season.
    10) West Ham - 7 - A solid debut season in the Premier League and never in much danger of going down or pushing up.
    11) Norwich - 7 - Relegation favourites, but ended up finishing 11th. Alarming loss of form towards the end of the season, but may a bright future beckon?
    12) Fullham - 6 - Solid mid-table finish. Berbatov looks a good signing now, doesn't he?
    13) Stoke - 6 -Another solid mid-table finish and credit to Pulis for at times improving the football. But not so much progress on the pitch.
    14) Southampton - 6 - Stayed up in the end without too much bother, in a rather similar position to lots of other clubs.
    15) Aston Villa - 7 - Horribly inconsistent - woeful at worst and sensational at best but now they have beaten the drop, surely their young team can only improve?
    16) Newcastle - 4 - Pushing for Europe one season, in danger of relegation the next. A real mystery why with the players they have that this was the case.
    17) Sunderland - 5 - Again, under-performers. Who knows what will happen next with di Canio at the helm?
    18) Wigan - 6 - Finally succumbed to the drop but also lifted a major trophy. What next for Wigan? With Martinez or the right replacement they should be competing towards the top of the Championship.
    19) Reading - 4 - A team that barely added to a squad that only came third in the Championship never really stood a chance. Should be a shout for the play-off mix next season with a good set-up and manager.
    20) QPR - 0 - An unmitigated disaster from start to finish. I thought I would be happy if they went down, but I just feel really terrible for their fans who deserve better. After hearing of one of their better posters passing away (RIP) the other day all this Nor-QPR rivalry seems a little childish. Harry has a big job to shift the deadwood if anyone will buy it off him. Maybe they will bounce back up or go into freefall; I have no idea.

I cannot believe we finished ahead of Fulham! Bad season for them and I do wonder if they will struggle again next time round.

I think you have been a little too generous to the Swans, perhaps an 8. They had a blistering start for sure but like us have been poor in recent months.

West Ham - They surprised me, too dull to have dome well.

QPR - No sympathy for the club or fans I am afraid. Just cast your mind back to August 2011 and the attitude of a "big club" was almost instantaneous among a large number of them. TF has been far too naive in the belief that he could "buy" any club and make them in to something much bigger than they ever have been before overnight buy buying "big name players", then to compound it, hire "big name managers". No lessons learned in nearly two years by either TF or the fans.

Have to agree about QPR fans in general, but I was genuinely moved by the news of BrixtonR, always a true gentleman!

    1) Manchester United -8-Very good league form, but unspectacular beyond that.
    2) Manchester City -3-No success, season imploded and never looked like challenging for the title
    3) Chelsea -7-Should never have sacked RDM, gave Benitez a torrid time, but he showed how good a manager he is. That squad should never be less than third though.
    4) Arsenal -5-Bang average season, need to spend big and push on next season.
    5) Tottenham -6-Again, squad about where they should have been, without Bale they'd have been nowhere though. One man team.
    6) Everton -7-Played nice football, but they've hit the glass ceiling unless they have investment.
    7) Liverpool -7-Rodgers has done a decent job and turned the playing style around, they finally seem to be pulling in the right direction.
    8) West Brom -8-Very good season for them, could never have done more.
    9) Swansea - 9-Great league form, superb cup run, don't think they could have done much more. Lost a point for the late slump.
    10) West Ham -8-Newly promoted although spent significantly, very solid first season back.
    11) Norwich -8- Maybe yellow-tinted specs, but considering the managerial change, staying up was the priority and was achieved.
    12) Fulham -4-For a well-established side, a bang average season.
    13) Stoke -6-Football was marginally better, and once again a pretty comfortable season.
    14) Southampton -7-Played decent football, never in danger, again despite some big money signings.
    15) Aston Villa - 6- Credit to Lambert to sticking to his guns, but arguably an underperformance. Will undoubtedly improve next year
    16) Newcastle -3-That squad, and the amount of money spent, should not be avoiding relegation, even with Europa league commitments and injuries.
    17) Sunderland -3-Spent big on Johnson and Fletcher and haven't seen a great return
    18) Wigan - 5- Why can't they play well in September? Great cup run, but never really had the quality of players that had last year. McManaman looked like that player towards the end somewhat.
    19) Reading -5-Put faith in their promoted squad, but didn't quite get the balance right. Arguably overperformed with the cheapest squad in the league
    20) QPR -1-Spent big, failed abjectly. Hopefully a warning message to other promoted sides.

I would agree with everything apart from:
Citeh - not great, I accept, but realistically second in the league is a stellar season in the grand scheme of their club. I'd tend towards a 6 on that basis.
And Villa. Realistically, it was an average season. 5/6 at best
