Yet another awful 2nd half performance after a Pardew team talk, did we create one chance???

Funny thing is Pardew thinks our home record is good...we've lost 9 games at home <laugh>

Expected us to lose today as Arsenal obviously have more quality, just frustrating that our second half performances are always so poor. Anyway I'm signing off for the night, glad the season is over and can only hope that Pardew's name is flashing across the yellow ticker on sky sports news at some point later tonight.

Here's to hoping for a better season next year (with or without Pardew) <ok>

Absolutely toothless. The only threat came from Ben arfa runs at their defence. We were as clueless as the rest of the season unfortunately. Much work needed in pre season cos we are awful.

mr fookin webb is awful the sooner he never graces st james again is the time we will have a chance to win games aspecially against the big clubs .

as for pardew , well i would of had the youngster at least on for at least 20 mins for the **** cisse.

I do agree regarding Webb - the man is a complete ass. It's like he only feels the need to give calls for the 'bigger teams'. If the 'lesser team' is deserving of a call, he dithers and allows the play to carry on.

At the same time, I don't feel Webb can be blamed for our completely toothless performance. We did put up a bit of a fight in the first half, all be it, after allowing the Arse to have all of the early possession and play. Le Gouf was looking sharp and Cisse definitely should have finished his chance, served up by Mbwia.

But it has to be said, the 'performance' that Pardew promised us, never appeared. It was a classic NUFC performance from this season - good for about 15-20 minutes. Otherwise, we merely showed up to provide opposition.

Now I know, the majority of us expected a thorough hammering. But I think losing a narrow one goal game is worse, as we could have got a goal, or at the very least tried to score. We did our utmost to do more or less nothing, all game. We defended fairly well - but that is all that was required, as I felt Arsenal were nervous and it showed in their lack of creativity and penetration.

Above all, I feel we sauntered out of this season, much as we performed throughout.

As has been said. Thank **** it's finally over.

Just came up against a better team who were excellent defensively as they have been for the last few months. They knew Benni was the danger and handled him with ease. The lads tried hard today but again when we look at the bench to make something happen, there is no goalscoring threat. Fair play to Arsenal, they have really got their **** together since February, they have a good unit at the back.

Yep totally agree. Campbell can come on in time but again showed his raw side today. Some naïve runs. We were crying out for a strikers and some pace to try and stretch Arsenal and pull the back four around. I still think the French lads will look like better players again next season, they'll adapt to the physical nature eventually. I hope Debuchy's final ball will improve!

I'd love to have Lukaku, he's a beast of a player, saved WBA again today, and he's very young.

As soon as you see Howard Webb named as a referee in a Newcastle United match you might as well forget it.

We will not get ANY decisions from him, so unless you play a blinder and walk the ball over the line and against the netting each time to score it's a non-starter.

He does not give anything to Newcastle whatsoever. Referees are not supposed to be biased and show 100% professional integrity but his performances AGAINST us, every time can't be entirely down to coincidence.
The man took great delight in calling incorrect decisions in crucial matches for us the year we went down and it's not forgotten.

We're bad enough, we don't need help from officials!

Yeah Arsenal are a much better team than us and are in cracking form, doesn't mean that it's in any way acceptable that we failed to create a single opportunity/strike on their goal in the second half.

Not many have recently, I'm not sure we can expect it with our attacking/creative strength. Pards and Ashley got it all wrong in the summer and failed to address it in January. HBA and Cabaye are good players, but they can't be overly relied upon like a Ginola, Robert or Solano could.

I think them making mince meat of Benni was the problem. Cabaye tried but never looked like finding the killer pass. I thought Anita did quite well when he came on but its not really his game. The Gouf struggled badly and was handled with ease. Marv came on but may as well not have bothered. Cisse was isolated again. Say it quietly, but we lack quality in the final third and need a some major work there in the summer.

We will carry on being wretched as long as Pardew stays here. It was a cowardly display throughout, not once did a midfielder try to make a run behind the Arsenal defence. I hate seeing Jonas and Tiote play. As much as I love Colo, I wouldn't mind him going as long as it meant those two ****ed off for good, that's how much I hate watching them

I sat through the whole thing emotionless... I knew we would lose and that we would create next to nothing.

Three home defeats on the spin... 0 - 10 agg.

I was emotionless, as I sat there and knew it was pointless getting angry at the lack of urgency showed by the team during the last 30minutes. Just stroking it around the back four with no sense of urgency to get a goal back... Can't believe what I was watching
