Am I the only one who thought we played really well today? Fell just short against a Champions League team, that's not too bad!

the first half was brillant , but cisse should score ..and he aint even hitting the target .

we tried are best but badly need pace and skill on the wings ( each side) mbiwa is a good prospect .

need a goal scorer cisse just walks about and cant beat players..

Well after a half decent first half pardews half time team talk put pay to that in the second half.
    Cisse is utter pony.
    The corners became laughable
Anyway the nightmare is over of a season and fingers crossed the end of Pardews reign

Some promise shown in the first half, but came out half asleep in the second yet again.
Really don't have enough up front, just no attacking threat at all.
Glad it's all over though and l usually never want a season to end.
16th is awful but l guess it's better than going down and it's above Sunderland, but that aside we have little to be happy about.
Now it remains to see who comes and who goes.
The way the team is performing at present not that bothered about any of them.

What on earth does Pardew say to the team at half time?
We never seem the same after a half time talk, it's a huge part of a mangers job to be able to motivate the team, Pardew clearly falls short in this department.

I know it's a petty point to make, but I'm not feeling particuarly gracious at the moment, why were all our substitutes from liliput united, was that intentional? <whistle>

Not a great game at all but it was always going to be a bit of a damp squib.

We did well, just came up against a really good side in crackling form. If we'd put that amount of effort in all season, we'd have been a lot further up the league. Benni was gash but I think you have to credit Arsenal for how well they played and handled him in particular. Defensively they were superb as they have been for quite some time.

    Tiote can't pass the ball.

Our bench is terrible and we badly need strikers and pace.

It was a vast improvement on some of our performances this season, but was just disappointing and lackluster second half, like the players can't be arsed or aren't fit enough.

Tiote was a beast today, and but for 3 misplaced passes would be my MOTM (he ran so much today, no wonder he was cramping... the guy literally leaped around Arsenal's entire midfield tackling). Cabaye looked better before he was taken off, the defence was ok and Jonas was alright. Ben Arfa nicks the award though because he tried to take the game to Arsenal by himself when the rest decided 0-1 was a fantastic result <doh>

Cisse, my god what a terrible striker. His first touch from long balls was pretty decent today, and he did one nice turn and dribble to win a corner first half, but he's too small and weak to be a target man, too clumsy to use skill to beat people, too slow to test slow defences, and too **** at putting away sitters to be anywhere near a premier league first team.

we need people crossing the ball for Cissé. Sign 2 class wingers to play either side, i think HBA come deep to often so play him in the middle. Swap between Sissoko, Cabaye, Tiote and Anita for the middle two positions. No doubt they'll be out injured for the majority of the season anyway.

I'm not sure it would make much difference today, Arsenal made it look like taking candy from a baby. Completely ineffective. I thought Mbiwa did a similar job on Walcott which was heartening. Cisse had the same old supply line, non existent.

Disagree massively. Debuchy put in four or five good crosses today, but there was nobody in the box, including f***ing Cisse. When he was in the box, he missed a sitter and was hopeless with anything that came towards him. And there was the cowardly incident in the first half when it was him vs Chesney Hawkes and he didn't bother charging down the keeper. Pathetic performance by Papiss. He jogs around a lot, doing f*** all... Marginally better than super-sub Shola, who stands around a lot doing f*** all.

I though you played well until Arsenal scored but then never really looked like getting a goal back.

Cisse was gash again though, not sure what's hapened to him..

Debuchy's crosses were garbage. He only put one in where I felt Cisse and Benni were shocking. They both stood on the edge of the box and didn't move. This much vaunted improvement in final ball we were promised from Simpson to Debuchy is looking a bit of a myth at present. He just floats hopelessly aimed crosses. The one time he had a perfect cut back for Cisse on what does he do? Slides a nothing ball into Gouffran! Debuchy has been a massive disappointment and he is weak as piss. Hopefully once he adapts we will see better. As a striker Cisse gets **** all to work with, we need more support around him.

Not every player is David Beckham, picking out players at will. The value of crosses is that a quality striker will attack them. Shame we don't have a quality striker anymore, he plays for Chelsea now.

Seriously, there was more than two or three that could have been attacked if Cisse had half a brain.
